It can be a little janky at times but I don't see a big problem with it. There's not really much you can improve without it being jankier.

I’ve never had an issue with interface
I could see them adding be a size option for the font but am kind of glad they don’t as it means players who want to use small fonts sizes have to do an extra step to do so which may stop some of the difficult to read small text posts
As for links if you highlight the text you want to turn into a link and then click the button it will convert the text to a link automatically

Maybe adding a help option? At least for mobile, since I can check what everything does by hovering on desktop, but not on mobile.
I think the current UI is fine? But I've had simple bbcode memorized since like... 2008, so I'm not sure since I've got the most valid opinion here since I just type everything anyways

i feel like it doesn't take that long though? it's just [ size] and [/ size]. :v unless you mean it takes a long time to learn all those codes? maybe an official bbc guide would be helpful, but i don't know if the UI specifically needs an update, unless you have specific ideas.

A link to a quick bbc code guide with an info icon would be helpful! Maybe it would show some of the most commonly used bbc codes like text sizes, colors, and that columns exist? But then it could link you to a more in-depth bbc code page that runs down what aspects can be used in what areas of the site and what different codes exist!
