Okay, okay, hear me out:

RRR was, as I have heard, meant to be a treasure sink to combat inflation or what-have-you. And I've also heard it ended up kinda... meh on the scale of ways to deal with inflation, mostly because not everybody's into spending a ton of money for stuff or something. Just get a couple tickets and wish for luck, I suppose. Whatever the reason, I had an idea to make it better/give it more interest while also helping out some players with their fam collecting.

Think Boolean.

It was a kickstarter, so there are very, very few on site to begin with, and most are probably in dead lairs. Those few that do exist are hoarded away, never to be sold. Even with Fiona helping us out in terms of fam bonding, they are impossible to acquire otherwise.

Even just one Boolean in RRR would generate a massive amount of tickets. And of course, we'd never hear the end of all the Boolean flexing... but that aside. It doesn't even have to be Boolean, but that's what came to mind first. I know a couple other fams were up for a time, so it's not exactly a super new idea, though it's still a valid one.

Not really looking for support/no support because (for one thing) that's not the point of the forum. Yes, I read the rules. But also, I just wanted to share the idea. It's just hypothetical, anyways. And with primal eyes being from vials now, all those primal G1s from RRR seem to not be as exciting as they used to be.

But anyways, do whatever with the idea. I have sleep to acquire~

Alternate idea: Light egg G1 imps only obtained from the raffle. Should fit around the lore since it's not a breed change, I think, though someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Y'know, maybe the eggs are a portion of the Lightweaver's magic and thus they are imps. Who knows.
If anyone can find me a pure G1 imp pair that's still breeding (like, imp-imp and not imp-WC) please ping me. I've been looking everywhere.

These don't really work because it would be unfair to the people who kickstarted the game. Yeah a lot of these float around in dead lairs but that's why we don't see anything like that in Roundsey. A lot of the super valuable stuff is, I heard, basically donated by willing participants.

I am and always will be against the idea of permanent retirement of items in a game centered around collection, if for no other reason than the "dead lair" situation you describe. I think that RRR would be a very good vehicle for renewing currently-retired items into the site economy on an extremely rare basis.

The staff generally have had a rule thus far of not generating new items for RRR when it comes to KS items- they're all donated by the staff and friends of staff. So unless one feels like donating a Bool, if they even have one since it was for beta testers, it's pretty unlikely.

G1 Imps have always been said to be a no go. Staff have said like multiple times in the past they will never generate new Imps because they were a Kickstarter exclusive breed.

Think about it this way, if you put a Boolean in RRR, almost everyone who is participating in the raffle will be mad except for whoever wins the Boolean. And if you put in 99 Booleans, everyone who got theirs fair and square will lose thousands upon thousands of gems as their investment tanks. Everyone who spent thousands upon thousands of gems to get a Boolean will have lost all of that, and people who spent real money to get a head start now no longer have that unless they already sold theirs to some poor unsuspecting collector, who is now the victim. There's a whole market built off of this stuff. Besides, we already got a compromise to the familiars being inaccessible. We can still complete our bestiaries with Fiona. Just leave the KS fams be, imo.

Sure, if one of the staff or their friends and family feel like donating a Boolean, then let’s have a Boolean.

But staff have already stated that that’s the only way KS items can get into the raffle. And that’s for the best.

Absolutely not. Year 1 fest items are good because they're high-value, seldom few have them, and they're much desired. They're also in a position where it's ok for the site to generate more.

I can't say I'm particularly versed in how this all works, but if devs were to make KS/Beta stuff site-generated in any capacity, it's. literally the worst thing they could do. They're breaking a huge promise to every single Kickstarter and tester, and that's the sort of offence that'd cause about 90% of the playerbase to be rightfully disgusted and leave the site for good, along with sparking a lot of loud, open hatred for the devs. I think I actually heard someone in another thread say that it's the sort of thing that can lead to a nasty legal matter, too.

So what's better? The best Roundsey thing being a rare, sought-after Light Sprite? Or something that'd be the death of FR as we know it?

No support for this or g1 imps (which they have stated very clearly will never happen) for reasons already stated, but I want to point out one thing.

Booleans were not KS incentives. They were gifts to beta testers. They're more exclusive than KS items ever were, and if you promise someone a unique gift that won't ever be given out again, it's even more gross to go back on that promise than it is for KS items imo. They were given out to show appreciation to the ~100 users who beta tested the game before it came out, not something given out to people who paid x amount to get them.

If you didn't beta test the game, you should not have a beta testing gift generated for you (which I'm well aware isn't how it works, at least for KS items, but this is framed as a suggestion to the devs and not an appeal to boolean owners to donate theirs). If you want it, you're gonna have to earn it.

The other comments have good points I won't repeat, but -

Roundsey is doing just fine. She's removing millions of treasure from the site every week. The fact that most people are only spending a few k is fine, it's the overall effect that's important.

Say a Boolean goes in one week. Wow, loads of treasure spent! Then everyone goes back to creating more treasure again and the impact dies down in a couple of weeks, because it's not a sustained sink. So... a Boolean every week? The novelty rapidly dies down, people get upset because of all the points raised above, it doesn't take long to outweigh the number that were ever given out properly.

No support. Roundsey is just fine as a treasure sink, we've already seen KS items in RRR and the limited impact they have, and the vastly better and sustained impact a popular treasure breed and genes had.
Very well said Kickstarter and Beta rewards should not generate new items for roundsey, if they are donated to rounsey that's fine, but even when there is a KS exclusive item in roundsey they only have limited impact before going back to normal As for getting a boolean unlocked in the beastairy---Fiona makes that possible. You may not get star background (signalling you currently own at least one copy of that awakened familiar) but its quite possible to unlock a boolean or any of the other kickstarter familiars (I currently have bonded with the boolean to the companion stage and I've never owned a boolean so thats exclusively through Fiona)
