It would be AWESOME if we had more letters for naming our dragons and familiars! Without this it is hard to name dragons and familiars with french, welsh, german and other languages!
I don't ask for non-latin letters like chinese, korean, japanese or russian for example.
I ask for letters like ö, ä, ü, à, è, é, ì, ô, ç, ø, ?, ñ

Absolute support for characters that are allowed in the forums (as in they show up properly) - hopefully, this covers what OP means.
There are some Latin-based letters that don't always show up properly, though, like Vietnamese diacritic marks, which can get quite complex and while I'd love to support them, I have less hope for them to be implemented.

My dragons' names are 2-3 separate words. Please put spaces between them!!!

Support. It isn't as though players aren't already naming their dragons things in other languages without these extra letters, and it really would be nice to have them when they're needed.

All of this but ALSO less letters in terms of giving us the ability to name our dragons with 2 letters AT LEAST. 1 letter, numbers and frequently used symbols such as hyphens and apostrophes would be amazing too but I just don't see how a 2-letter restriction matters at this point if Search can now load with even 1 letter attached. Unless there's some other problem I'm unaware of.
Speaking of Search, please also give us the ability to use restrictive search so it only searches for dragons with the letters only, not just the letters included.

From my understanding, 2 letter names are/were a glitch and NEVER intended, ever. And the Search bit you brought up 'Search can pull up dragons with 1 letter attached' is why- If I was to look up one of my old friend's dragons, Io, it would pull up EVERY dragon with 'io' in it. It could really strain the servers to pull up every single dragon ever made with 'io' in it's name. :c

Off topic but this doesn't really make sense, since you can search for "io" now and ti'll pull up every dragon with io in its name in about a second whether or not that's a valid name. This reason for not allowing 1 or 2-letter names would really only make sense if the search prevented you from searching for anything less than 3 letters.
I would love some variety in characters as well as the ability to give 2 letter and 1 letter names. I'm sure there might be some concerns with users using it to get around censors, but if you're allowed to use those characters in the forums, it's not much of a new problem.
