Idk where to post it, but basically I dont understand why someone I have blocked can interact with and see my forum posts, while if im the one who blocks them I cant see their posts?
I just think, if I block someone is so that they dont interact with me/see my dragons. And if i posts my dragons on the forums, they could see them lol. So why not just make it like when you block someone and can no longer see their posts?

I saw a post of someone showing off a dragon and when I clicked on the dragon the "you are not allowed to view this user's profile" message popped up. SO basically that user had me blocked but I still could see their forum post lol (i had never seen that guy before so idk why i was blocked but oh well)

I believe the thinking was that if the person was blocked by enough people, the forums and game would become basically unplayable for them. 'Course maybe there's something to be said with whatever was done to garner such attention to be blocked by the majority...

But yeah. In nearly every other game a block is a block, they can't see your stuff (whether it's hidden entirely or they're met with a "you can't view this" message) and you can't see theirs. This is one of the few I've seen that uses the 'blinders' approach.

Probably to prevent more people from block circumventing to ask why you blocked them. As it is you only really figure it out bc you click someone's profile and realize you can't see their dragons.
I imagine it's bc the forums are basically a 'public space', and it's more for the benefit of not wanting to see someone else's posts.

We kinda get it. It'd suck to be unable to see important or useful threads such as guides, bug reports or dom related things because the poster has blocked you.

They implemented it like that at one point, people protested, it got changed.
Wish it stayed, I honestly don't like blocked people seeing my posts, haha.

This is actually becoming pretty normal on sites, and honestly I prefer it this way. Not every block is over a serious issue, in fact many are over minor "I don't like how X talks / don't like their primal / they have a gif in their sig."
Blocking someone should not effect their experience on the site. Thankfully the blocker will only see the "this person is blocked" text and can just ignore that they exist at all.
