idk if this has been suggested before but there needs to be a way for you to not have to accept stuff people send to you in pm's :/// like i feel weird randomly accepting treasure/items from people especially when its stuff i dont want like from a flight bomb or whatever theyre called. i usually just accept it but sometimes its just weird :///
edit: i wrote this in a huff because a person sent me a weird pm w 10k for telling them not to comment directly in a certain forum, and even though i didnt want to speak to them further i had to tell them i didnt want the money but had no way to give it back without further communicating with them thus continuing an interaction i didnt want to have. i couldve just taken their money but that didnt feel right. so there needs to be a way to just send back attached items without having to send an additional pm to someone!!

You can already delete PMs with items without removing the items as the "delete" button inside the PM allows that to happen.

Even if this is true I don't think it solves the original problem because it can be strange to get unexpected items from people, and may also make someone feel like they have to send items back. Unless I'm overlooking something, I see no harm in a button that rejects items attached to a PM and sends them back to the original sender

support, you shouldn't have to delete the PM itself. and personally i'd like if the person who had attempted to send the items got a notification along the lines of "some items that you attempted to send through private message were returned to you" so that they dont keep bugging the person they tried to send to like "hey, did you see my message?" and also so that they know that they still have those items now and can give them to someone else.

Yeah this is my concern with just deleting it straight up, the other person doesn't know they've crossed that line unless they get blocked and won't know they still have the items. So I support being able to just reject the items like you would with a CR, sending em back with a notif to the sender.
And then obviously if that solves nothing, you can block or/and report em.

RedWillia afaik deleting the pm deletes the items/treasure as well - i want the stuff given back to them. the ability to say no, take it back. without having to communicate with them further. i know the delete button exists you dont have to be condescending.

Not sure where you read condescension as a lot of players don't notice that there are also delete buttons inside PMs or that you can delete the messages with items from there.
Either way, my point (and no support) still stands - if you don't want the items, you can already make them be gone from your account without a note and therefore "declining without a note" is more or less a duplicate function. A forwarding option (like emails have, where a new message generates with all its attachments) is a missing non-duplicate function and might be added.

On the topic of deleting PMs with items and money in it—I thought you couldn't? In order to delete them, you have to take the attached items and currency, or so I thought.
I support this. There's always the chance someone sent something to you mistakenly, and loading up items into PMs is not always an easy task to return mistaken items, in addition to the "I don't want this, sorry" reason given in the OP!

no support cause i feel this would offend people who actually want to pm gift people various items for a event such a birthday gift instead of using the crossroads

Why should I care about the sender being offended? What about me being offended about the stuff they send me? Does that count for nothing?
Personally I would just keep the stuff and ignore the person but I understand wanting to return the items. Support for an option to send items back, ideally without even having to open the pm.
