I haven't seen too many people talking about this, so I wonder if this is just me getting needlessly irritated, but it's very annoying to look for genes in the marketplace/AH when a good half of the genes are for ancients (which I'm not looking for most of the time). The duplicates are also a problem for me because I've ended up buying the wrong version of a gene at least a few times (like just now before making this thread, I accidentally bought stained for Veilspuns X_X).
I would really appreciate a toggle on the marketplace and the AH to let you search specifically for either ancient or modern breeds to avoid this kind of confusion/annoyance. Another issue I've had is how in the scrying workshop, accidentally selecting an ancient breed wipes the genes from your scry. I think a simple solution to that would be to do something like this (lazy mspaint mockup):
Am I only bothered by this because I haven't played much the last few years and still haven't really gotten used to ancients? Or is anyone else bothered by this? I feel like as gene and breed lists get longer it will become harder and harder to navigate, so more organization doesn't sound like a bad idea.
