TOPIC | Crim shouldn't ask for apparel/familiars
I've never personally wasted anything valuable by misclicking on the collection cart, but whenever Crim asks for something like a festival familiar or piece of gem store apparel I wince a little at the thought that someone could waste that much money by zoning out for a split second.

I realize that you can't exclude *every* high-value item from Crim's selection since with food/mats/trinkets the line between valuable and not is a bit blurrier (although maybe one or two extremely valuable outliers *cougheliminatecough* could be excluded-- it's expensive enough to be a raffle prize, after all) and you do get a sense for which food and trinkets are worth keeping after a while, but there's really no reason to ever give her apparel or familiars on purpose. In most other situations FR has been good about getting rid of these sorts of landmines, so I'm always surprised this particular one has stuck around for so long.

I will actually give her apparel and familiars on purpose. Most apparel doesn't appeal to me, same with familiars - there is no use for duplicate familiars.

"ut whenever Crim asks for something like a festival familiar or piece of gem store apparel I wince a little at the thought that someone could waste that much money by zoning out for a split second."

She literally never asks for gem items. She might still ask for the impostor bears from NOTN, but I'm not even sure if she still does anymore. But she's not asking people for Light Sprites and Companion Comets.

She does ask for cycled-out treasure marketplace items, though. She's asking me for a Unearthly Onyx Nightshroud right friggin now, so i'm gonna tell her "hell nah dawg"

Not technically unobtainable, but not something you'd want to sell for 3000 treasure either since the going price is about 170,000.
The going price wasn't always that - you could buy three of them for that price when they were originally released. However, it's no longer reality - so I think the impostor bears should be removed from her list.
Cragbacked Bouldursa is the 2014 earth festival familiar, the imposter version is Jadecarved Decoy. I agree, though.

Both the original, and the impostor. https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/ann/1283770 And given that this familiar was released the festival THREE WEEKS before NOTN 2014, that Earth familiars are not exactly popular and well... Crim was giving you a good deal, back then

Crim was giving you a good deal, back then
A couple of times in the past week, Crim's offered me ~4k treasure for a couple of familiars that go for ~2k on the AH. I buy one and give it to her and walk away with 2k profit.

I could agree with removing things like the bears *now*, but then someone has to manually go and decide which exact items are immune and remove them from Crim's pool, because when they were originally released, oh my god did I despise them for how many bears were just raining out of the sky and they were DEFINITELY worthy of being sent to Crim. (In hindsight I wish I saved more of them...)

But building on the idea where you said that FR has gotten rid of the other "landmines," maybe another option would be to allow people to buy back items they sold to crim at double the price in the self help support menu, similar to how you can buy back things you accidentally hoardsold? Things like the bears would be worth buying back to sell on the AH, things like my 4k familiars would not be.
That's a very good suggestion-- a buyback tab on Crim's cart would be an elegant way to solve the problem of accidental sells, at least.
