Please, FR team, let us hide our forum activity on our clan profile. It's being used to harass me off-site. As long as my forum history is able to be seen by other people then I won't feel safe.

Plus, it's nobody's business. Your curiosity does not override my right to privacy. And maybe let us disable profile comments while we're at it.

While we're at it, why don't we have the option to not be searchable in the forum search tool? Again, I'm being harassed and stalked, and I do not feel safe.

While a sad situation, that's a pointless change? As profile forum activity only links to a pre-filled regular forum search, your posts will still be visible and findable through it (this). Moreover, your privacy doesn't factor here as forums are a public place.

i agree that forums are a public space, but running into someone's post in a thread and being able to search all their posts are two different things.

i think it's reasonable to have a setting in accounts that hides all your posts in forum searches and also on your profile under recent posts.

the posts could still be seen in threads, just not searched. this would eliminate most stalking, which i think OP is dealing with. people would have to search in a lot of threads to find them or look out for last poster in the forums, and that's a lot more effort than plugging them into a search bar, ya know?

[/quote] Well, it's a still a bit of a band-aid solution as all quotes and pings will still be searchable as they will be made by another user who just mentions the "target" (and you cannot just ban the username as there are users with non-unique names such as Everyone). And google search, which I just checked, seems to catch some pages too, perhaps from old times. All in all, I do think that this change won't actually be as effective as imagined.

It still might be enough to make it too many annoying steps to stalk OP though, so I can see the benefit of this (just removing the posts from a clan profile). Making it slightly harder to find one's posts can sometimes be deterrent enough.

I agree with this. I feel several things on our profiles should be more customizable.

If it is getting really bad, you can turn your account to invisible in account settings

@DakoDraggo if you know the username of the person/people harassing you you can block them
They can then no longer visit your clan page.
Also when they come across your forum posts all they see is:

[You have been blocked from seeing this user's content]

(or something similar)

personally I love the forum activity, I find so many interesting threads that way, by going through someone's clan profile and visiting the threads they have posted in.
Your activity doesn't link to your actual post either, just to the start of that thread so (its already painstaking to find that actual player's post unless you visit immediately after they have posted and they are on the last page still)

They're cowards hiding under an anonymous ask. Also, please don't ping me. Just because I have them disabled doesn't mean that I am okay with receiving them. It just... bothers me.

I don't know how much this would actually help this specific instance, but I always support more privacy options.
