There has been some talk about how the Grand Exchange could be improved. I am glad that it exists as it will make different events less confusing, and I am happy that staff are working on it, but still there are a few ideas!
This is my mockup on what the Grand Exchange could look like to be, at least to me, less confusing and more usable. I put a skin at the top just to compare how a currency item would appear.

Things to note:
[list][*] Buttons added to link to the Encyclopedia page and to indicate whether you own the item already.
[*] Required tradable items are separated with lines to make it easier to read what number you need of each item. It would be nice if their icons are just a tad larger.
[*] Buttons are lined up more and are centered around each other. For example the 3 small buttons are centered under the item widget. And similar spacing [u]between[/u] buttons too!
[*] The item name is its own line at the top to make room for wordy item names.
[*] I do like when the tradable items box is dulled out when the item is bought by currency instead. I forgot to picture it here.[/list]

Here is a different idea I had that I am less sure about. It has 3 items per row so each item box is taller. It could be extended more to fit 6 tradable items if staff is really set on having people trade 5+ things for an item lol. The other concern is long item names, in which case the title could be 2 lines long.

Other things to think about:
[list][*] There needs to be a button for every event that shows how much you have of required tradable items. Either that, or have each item show how many of the required item you have (like 43/50). Reducing the maximum number of tradable items to 4 could help make room for this.
[*] Is there a plan to implement flash sales into the grand exchange? If so, it will need a way to fit in too. If not, I will miss it because I like buying extra skins during flash sales.
[*] Always ensure enough contrast between dark text and a light background.

This is a brilliant idea, I came here to suggest something similar (as i like being able to see what items I've purchased without having to go to my hoard) but you've done it in a much more concise and nicer way than I would've been able to. It looks great and fits in nicely with the existing aesthetic of the Grand Exchange look.

Also in support!! The current setup works, but I'm also visually confused. This keeps the original stuff but improves upon it! (especially looking at the "in hoard/is worn" indicators)

My other addition would be to filter out different item types (apparel, skins, etc).

That first format is Perfect, I would love that so so much. It's so much cleaner looking, actually contains more useful information that is sorely needed yet very much absent from the current set-up, it's generally much more user friendly from a design perspective and a functionality perspective.
The second design I don't mind, but imo feels a little bit cramped and might be harder to read as more of those little grey boxes become full and create visual noise.

I support this, especially the icon showing whether you have the item in your hoard or not. I find myself really missing that with fest skins now that they've been moved out of the marketplace.
