Lavender

Feeling old, Lavender found it time he, too, took a world tour around Sornieth that had come to be a tradition to all windies. He had spent all his days guarding the clan's precious flowers and his skin had gradually adapted to his enviroment. His tertiary, which had never been visible, still pulsed strong in his veins. He knew he was a passionate dragon, and had direced this passion to his clan and his duty. All of his children had long ago left the Windswept Plateu and the safety of their parents.

Gull, true to her named, flew early. She wanted to smell the salt sea breeze and learn how to dive. She did, but ended up at the shores of the light domain. There she followed her heart and stayed to fight for the Lightweaver. Her brother Etude stayed within the wind domain, but as his blood and opinions were more artistic than his older sister, he joined forces with the Windsinger. Neon secretly followed Gull to the Sunbeam Ruins, but in stead of fighting he wanted to stay in a lair full of albino guardians.

Lavender and FlameWheel had 4 children together. Their firstborne was kidnapped as a kid and recruited to the forces of the Tidelord before he was named. The parents have not heard from him, and does still not know what to call him. Diardi and Fastflicker went on their world tourné and ended up as the Shadowbinder's best buddies. He they serve as her personal healer and assistant. Weil followed his siblings halfway to the shadow domain, but got distracted by a spiral named Tindre. They had 2 kids and he has stayed with her ever since.

Lavender stretched his powerful wings and took a leap to the sky. After only 10 strokes he arrived at the biggest kite in the wind domain. He wrote a formal letter to his deity and brought a whole shipload of different food to his clan as a goodbye. Of course everyone understood his lust for adventure, as most of them already had toured the world. They ate and talked until it got late. At dawn he left the Cloudsong and what had been his home for ever. He took a stop at the a border, but didn't care which. He guessed the wind would guide him, and he was right.

It wasn't long after he started his flight that he found himself caught by a powerful gust coming from the Sea. The salty taste in the air coupled with the rough, choppy wind was enough to cause problems flying even for himself, skilled in the air as he was. He kept his eyes pointed towards the smoking volcano of the Ashfall Wastes, intending that to be his target, but something in the air collided with him. Pain shot through his wings and he felt himself falling. Before he knew it, he crunched to the ground and blacked out.

When he finally came to, he found himself overwhelmed with the scent of rot. He shook his head to clear his vision, and a cave slowly formed as his vision became less blurry. He tried to get up, but he felt sharp pains through his body. He groaned and lay back down. A moment later, the sound of fluttering feathers was heard and a familiar scent reached his nose.

The Wind coatl proved to be a more than capable healer and he was feeling better in no time. He even started to enjoy the company he kept in the Wyrmwound Clan. The Plague wastelands weren't near as bad as he thought and the dragons of the clan were more than pleasant. He soon started to feel comfortable in his new surroundings and even started to join in on the clan duties of guarding the borders and scouting for supplies.

Soon, however, the little clan settled by the Wyrmwound started to lose its lustre. He loved his friends dearly and there was more than enough adventure in the wastelands, but he needed a change of pace. A new fresh start. Somewhere he could start to see more and experience more. Saying goodbye and leaving behind a few things to remember him by (And taking one of his own!), he spread his wings and once again let the wind guide him.
