Thanatopsis' Clan
yes, there's a Shakespearean name theme
Clan Info
ABOUT ME: 19, she/her, 2-3 hours ahead of server time depending on the time of year. I've been popping in and out for three years now, but mostly play FR to procrastinate my university homework. My clan aesthetic has changed over time and probably will shift in the future. I like chatting even though I'm not too active in the forums!
CLAN LORE: This is band of misfits, of travelers who have come together one by one through the years. Some may stay for their whole lives, while others are just passing through. They have made a habit of adopting lost hatchlings who wander through, and they keep open room in the lair for any who need a welcoming place to rest.
The clan has passed through several leaders, including a deeply religious patriarch who groomed many for the honor of exaltation. After clan culture rebelled against those traditions, they moved locations from Arcane to Ice territory. The current leadership is less rigid, allowing more autonomy for individuals.
Breeding in the past was designated by the patriarch, with dragons paired for the sake having as many eggs as possible. Recently, monogamous pairs have been forming, although many in the lair still consider breeding to be for the hatchlings rather than for affection.
Newcomers to the clan will usually stay if they find a few good connections, but older members can't really be bothered to pressure younger dragons into either staying or leaving.
