Generation 6
Malingee, malignant nocturnal spirit origionating from the aboriginal tribes in the Northern Territory (Australia).

All who walk the dream know of the Malingee. They dwell in the bush and avoid our presence. We should rejoice when they do. All should fear the sound of stone scraping from their knees as they stalk in the night.

Upon hearing that sound you must run. If you don’t then the noise draws ever closer until suddenly it stops. In the shadow of the sun’s hiding you see just the smouldering coals of their eyes.

And if you still don’t flee then the last thing you’ll feel is the razor sharp stone as it plunges through your heart.

A true healer.

He’d known from a young age that he was meant to protect his clan. He'd also known that he was a little bit different to his brothers and sisters. Unlike them, Malingee looked like a beast that just crawled out of the swamp, ready to kill all that dared approach his clan. However; he didn't think that protecting his clan mates meant fighting head on; it just meant keeping them safe.

He didn't say that to them though, as long as they believed they were doing the right thing, he was happy.

He was put into an intensive training program almost as soon as he came of age. He didn't mind, for he wanted to start helping others as soon as possible. Although he wasn't pleased with how much emphasis was how to bring down your opponent, he learned it to the best of his abilities.

Although for him, that wasn't saying much.

He found it hard to hit his opponents, and kept being beaten up ruthlessly. He would be lying if he said he wasn't hurt after those matches; and especially after the name calling started. He wanted to help others feel good about themselves; but not at his own expense.

It didn't stop him trying, even if his instructors had given up with him as well. They didn't want him going out on the practice missions, but they let him participate anyway. He had hoped that he would end up preforming well under pressure.

He failed the fighting part of the mission almost instantly. He wasn't too upset, after all, he could always try again next time.

That's when he heard the screaming. A huge boar had charged into the arena. Many of the dragons dodged aside, but one foolish dragon tried to stop the boar’s charge.

He was skewered on the boar’s tusk before being thrown violently into the wall. He fell to ground with a sickening thump. Pieces of the wall rained down around him, trapping him underneath.

Everyone panicked and ran, the boar chasing the fleeing dragons. He was left alone in the arena with his fatally injured bully. If it was up to him, he would have left him there to die. But that would have been a selfish decision, for his bully was one of the most loved students amongst his peers and instructors. He had a loving family and little sister to go home to.

So he raced over and began to move the remains of the wall off of him. He soon found where the boar had pierced him, what was one his shoulder was now a bloody mess. He had nothing on him to stop the bleeding, or to even begin to patch up the hole.

But he focused on the wound, and the wound began to close. By the time the instructors came to find them, his shoulder was all healed up.

Over time Malingee would become one of the best healers in the clan, fixing all things ranging from minor infection to being stabbed in the heart. To those outside of the clan he was a monster, something to be feared; to those inside, he is a miracle worker.
