Hey, I'm just some usual person playing this internet game, writing a book, and wasting time. I don't log in as regularly as I used to, but I'll always come back eventually.

A Fae and a Tundra came out of the Twisting Crescendo, disowned and exiled from their home, to wander across the Windswept Plateau and find a new life for themselves. They had only each other and life was difficult, but they were happy together. They were not alone for long, though: soon, they were found by the Guardian, who took on the burgeoning clan as his charge and defended his new family from threats.
More dragons came, and the small clan grew and thrived as they traveled the Plateau in tents, never staying anywhere long. They were free and without burden, going where the Breeze took them.
The Fae came to love her clan, and took it upon herself to plead with the Windsinger for her clan's safety. She became Ilmatar, the Pious.
The Tundra, her mate, came to hate himself as he was, and took it upon himself to transform with dark magics to be more like his love. He became Izotz, the Devoted.
The Guardian came to see his charge grow until he could no longer protect it alone, and took it upon himself to be sacrificed to save it. He became Rosewing, the Protector.
Upon these three, Piety, Devotion, and Protection, the clan became strong and firmly ground. They worshipped the Windsinger, stuck to each other above all, and most importantly, they looked out for each other.
All who adhere to these three principles are welcomed to the clan with open arms.
As more dragons of every different flight joined, new ideas and values came into the clan. The Fae welcomed them -- they were open to whatever the Breeze brought them, and all the deities were worthy of devotion. But as the leaders, they still exalted all children to the Windsinger, for they were all children of the Windsinger.
Many dragons began to resent this. Why, they asked, should they send their children to serve a foreign god not of their choosing? Ilmatar assured them that their children were happy, and indeed, every dragon left willfully. But the muttering continued.
A young Imperial, Sitara, took notice of these attitudes. For years, she watched and waited. She always kept an eye out for any sign of weakness, she slipped in words that eroded dragons' faith in their leaders, and she gathered supporters throughout the clan.
Finally, she found her time to strike. After the Mistral Jamboree, when spirits were high and the clan complacent, she staged a coup and removed Ilmatar as Head Priestess. The resulting schism ended in many lives lost, but Sitara rose victorious as Queen. All former supporters of the Old Way were exiled, or if they were useful, merely disgraced and sent to the edges of the territory.
Sitara now styled herself as the Queen of Light and of Truth, one who had revealed the New Way and Order to her clanmates that had previously been blinded by the love that only she could see through. As such, there was no better plan, she saw, than to move to the center of Light and Truth, in the Sunbeam Ruins. The clan settled in the cliffside of the Hewn City, where they began to rebuild their lives.
All are welcome, declares the Great Queen, and all must bend to Her Light.
