Scorpius' Clan

Please note: If you see the name "Scorpius" on any chatroom or Skype, that is not me. I do not use Scorpius as my Skype name nor do I privately chat with anyone on the internet on Skype that I don't know in real life. Private Skyping is only reserve for family and irl friends.

A clan of dragons and other creatures alike live together in peace. Clan officials and their leader try their best to keep harmony and equality among dragons of different flight birth. Same goes for the independent and ex-members of the Beastclan. A black scorpion can also be seen around the lair and helping out with most of the work. He is known as the 'Caretaker' of the clan and mostly respected by the other clan members, but 'toyed' and almost 'eaten' by the hatchlings that don't know better.

The origin of the name came from a joke that the younger dragons made. They were playfully voting for a name for the clan and someone suggested to name it "Black Scorpion" clan because of the hotheaded and snappy scorpion caretaker. Since Scorpius was the one that raised Hues and happened to be one of the founders of the clan that grew from a small family, it kinda made sense. Though, the scorpion caretaker was not pleased by it and rejected the idea heavily, but was outvoted by a landslide from dragons that thought it was a funny idea or just wanted to mess with the scorpion or they sincerely thought it was a splendid idea. Since then, the clan name was stuck to the dismay of the scorpion caretaker.

A peaceful clan located deep within the Shrieking Wilds and right at one of the roots of the Behemoth. Surrounded by gigantic trees and sturdy cliffs for protection and shelter. Waterfalls stream down the side of cliffs and flow through the river that flow through their lair. There are also a few ponds located around the area and a large main pond in the center of their home. Beastclans surrounds the area, but a deal was made that no dragon or Beastclan will attack each other unless provoked.

Border areas were made large enough so that the lair can expand for many generations to come. If a Beastclan or foreign dragon were to trespass into the clan boundaries without permission, they will be questioned and likely forced to leave if they don't have any business with the Black Scorpion clan. Any unwelcome visitors or hostiles (not matter if they are dragons or Beastclan) will be chase off and battle in needed. If they seek a peaceful business or were invited (with official documents and/or invitation), they will be escorted to the lair by a Guider.

Mix of Norse and Nouveau architecture and interior with Floral and Celtic designs, in addition to plants growing everywhere, even on the buildings. Imagine a large tree growing out of the library. The 11 temples has their own respective architecture style, depending on their flight culture art style. There's also a tad bit of solar punk, but not much on technology. Machinery and electricity, yes. No computers, yet. The closest machine to a computer would be the one in Auron's workshop. The lair is trying their best to be modern while being nature friendly at the same time.

Each dragon has their own specialize role and job they choose to follow, but it's not mandatory, so any role can be volunteered when they want to help out.

Hatchling sittings are normally done by the parents, mostly mothers and occasionally fathers. There is a daycare center if any parent are too busy with something or something came up that made them unable for them to take care of their hatchling(s), but it is only temporary. The daycare can also be an orphanage until a foster parent would adopt them.

Anyone can be fighters, but usually strong dragons especially trained to fight are considered warriors and/or guards. Warrior dragons can also have more than one job role they specialize in.

Gathering can also be done by volunteer, but there are a few dragons who specialize in it too, so they tend to consider it their personal job role of the clan. A Gatherer who is also a Warrior can go out and gather, but must be with at least a group of 2-3 dragons. A Gather with no fighting experience must go with at least two Warriors to defend them in trouble arise.

There are a few roles that can only be done by only those chosen for it like the 11 ambassadors/missionaries, 4 Lords of Seasons, the 5 Masters. Seers, Priests of the Sun and Moon, are born into it.

Treasurer and Hoard record keeping are done by the scorpion caretaker, Scorpius. Occasional adviser to the clan leader when he needs it. Also, tends to go around the lair, helping with odd jobs and lair patrolling. Goes out to help gather food with the gatherers. Not to mention, has an uncanny and strong magnet for hatchlings.
