Biography

Thank you @paleleaf

"Do you need something? Come on now, speak up."
Dragons from all across the Shadow Flight look up to Wisteria. They consider her to be one of the smartest dragons in the Flight. Some say that she was taught the secrets of shadow magic by the Shadowbringer herself. The hatchlings, their mothers having told them tales of her vast knowledge, spread rumors about her being present during the First Age, that she had spoken to the Gods of each Flight herself and documented their arguments, their secrets, and how to use their magic.

The Skydancer had scoffed when she heard about the rumors. She deemed them foolish, looking down upon the dragons who had truly believed all of the stories regarding her knowledge. Secretly, however, she wished that she had been there to talk to the gods, and that she really was trained under the Shadowbinder, but she knew it hadn't happened, nor would it ever.

In truth, Wisteria had gotten her knowledge from reading ancient books on magic and the history of the Shadow Flight, digging up old scrolls and papers that were caked in mud and thriving with new information that no dragon had seen before. She would study for hours on end without stopping, sometimes forgetting to eat. The black-and-purple Skydancer was enthralled by stories of the past, doing whatever she could to get ahold of them and study them.

Wisteria would hardly ever leave her den, much too busy studying to find the time. She would have somebody else bring food to her each day, as she either couldn't find the time, or didn't want to go outside. If you called her a recluse, you wouldn't be wrong. She despised going outside, as dragons often huddled around her den's enterance, waiting for her to come out. Only rarely do her scales see the light of day. She usually comes out during the Trickmurk Carnival, but only for a moment before retreating back to her den.

Not many dragons have actually gotten to talk to Wisteria, although the few that have were shocked not only by her knowledge, but also her personality. This old lady is quite refined, with impeccable posture and and a large vocabulary. She will often shrug off or even insult dragons that try to talk to her, as she sees them as inferior to her, and thus not worth the time.
