While initially a Fire clan, the clan of Arrak-Val has heeded the advice of its shaman, always a Plague element dragon, since it was founded by a now-ancient Mirror Queen. When told that now was the time to journey from the Ashfall Waste to the Scarred Wasteland, the Matriarch of the clan did not question her Shaman. Those true to the clan followed without fear, and Arrak-Val established itself in the Plague domain. Only time will tell if the Shaman steered the clan wrong and the ever-present mutagens will take their toll on the clan... or if the Shaman was correct and they will prove to be the adaptive force that will breathe new life into it.

All elements are welcome, and each dragon god is honored in celebration during their respective elemental festival. Overall, though, the Plaguebringer and Flamecaller are the chief dragon gods worshiped in Arrak-Val.

Clan leadership is done by the Council, a collection of dragons with specific roles like the Shaman, the Alchemist, the Matriarch and Patriarch, the Doctor, and others.
