Lore

In the second age, when the great reactor exploded and consumed all known life, pieces of those atomically radiated metal were catapulted through the air and buried deep inside the earth.
The tide also buried these from the awareness of the lives that came with the gods: The known dragon species.
When the first dragons appeared to have some “toxic” aura, they were quickly excluded from other tribes. Their scales weren’t toxic at all; they were radiated by the backward chunk of the ancient reactor that created the Arcanist.

Wastelanders

Wastelanders is what they call themselves. Their scales are as obvious as the sun on a hot summer day. The nuclear toxin eroded their brains thus they became feral and very dangerous to their surroundings. Dragons call them Deathclaws since any encounter ends deadly. Some reported of tamed wastelanders but nobody ever found the tamers...

Description

Deathclaw is surprising quiet and docile when considering that most of her frontal lobe has been turned to mush. The radiation hasn't affected much of the temporal lobe so all other functions are fine. Deathclaws skin has started to peel off the green, glowing residue that has been stuck on her since hatching, leaving the new skin as a dark brown colouring. She can't talk a common language but has adapted to understanding tones and using head tilts to gain attention.

Deathclaw was once a wandered and a scavenger. Surviving off what she could manage to hunt and surviving on her own. After finding herself lost in the ashfall waste she found herself quite in difficulty. The harsh temperature and terrain she never faced made it harder to survive.
After a few days of starvation and with very few water left she was found by her saviour, now former doctor and friend, Lili the Nocturne.
DC bonded with her after she was saved and brought to the lair. Lili was sweet and her calming aura reassured her; eventually Lili noticed how Deathclaw had a difficulty with speech and eventually taught her sign language which she would later use to communicate as well as using a variety of sounds and growls. The two became fast friends and Deathclaw was soon accepted in the clan and became the former scavenger. She tends to be very protective of Lili and knows how delicate she is. Deathclaw loves living in the clan and scavenging for everyone. She has her own little pile of random stuff she picked up while scavenging and a nice little hut made of metal and cloth scraps. She likes going to the hot springs and stuff like that, she enjoys them since the hot sulphur water helps her skin and soothes the pain that comes from the green nuclear residue. And of course this treatment was prescribed by her loving friend and doctor Lili.
