Clan Role:
Co-commander of the Driftwood Clan's fighting force alongside Haelon Before the arrival of The Commander, the Driftwood Clan's defense force was nothing but a disorganized band of fighters. Though individually, their skill and determination were great, and collectively they managed to push back many an attack on their home, coordination and direction were sorely needed. During an attack, each dragon would fight as if on their own, claiming enemy targets to avoid confusion. All that changed when The Commander stepped in. She does not usually directly engage in combat; rather, she utilizes small "communicators" created by the Lightning dragons of the clan given out to each soldier to give orders and direct strategies. She and Haelon initiated a series of training regiments for the soldiers, aimed at increasing cooperation and teaching new fighting tactics. It is up to them to recruit, promote, and direct the actions of their soldiers. In order to increase combat effectiveness, she also relies on the production of supplies from the clan's Lightning and Fire dragons, such as explosive grenades, metal armor, and dragon-adapted long-range weapons. She keeps a log of notes on every species her forces battle, to tailor and improve battle techniques depending on the threat being faced. The Driftwood Dauntless, made up of dragon and Beastclan alike, are now organized into a force of indomitable stealth and power. While she asks much of her defense force, she is usually met with little complaint. She has taken her entire force under her wing as her charge, and acts with extreme care; she will even personally intervene if a soldier becomes badly wounded. She continually monitors the status of each soldier, their mental and physical health and their stamina. Each soldier is as important to her as if they were her own child. She and Haelon think differently, and favor different tactics; they plan attacks together, in case one sees a danger or an advantage the other happened to be blind too. In an effort to help bolster moral and foster a team spirit, The Commander ordered the construction of a facility dedicated to the training and wellness of her defense force. This includes not only areas for training classes, working out, and machining new equipment, but a section dedicated solely to relaxation. It includes a hot tub, a bar and tea lounge (supplied by Ocha of course), physical therapy, and a game room. They do karaoke on Wednesdays.
