"Heh. What did you expect? No matter how many times I battle, I win. Doesn't matter who I'm up against." - Lui.

Lui Shirosagi is one of the strongest Bladers in the world, second only to Free De La Hoya. He's one of Japan's Supreme Four and the whole world's Big Five. He's even one of the few Bladers to beat Shu Kurenai.

However, this doesn't mean he cherishes the Bonds Forged with friends and Rivals™. Like most dragon Bladers who have stupid eyebrows, he's exceptionally cruel and laughs at the misery of others. When he scarred Shu's eye, he wasn't even sorry.
He's egotistical and and a big snob, too. He acts like he knows other people and their bonds with their Beys better than they do.

When the World Tournament popped up, he didn't join. He wasn't interested. He really didn't show up much at all until the mysterious Red Eye issued him a challenge. Lui accepted, meeting him at the intended area and defeating him, shattering his mask and revealing that Red Eye was really Shu Kurenai all along.

Lui laughed, claiming that he knew it was Shu all this time. But... Of course he had to confirm it, because Beyblade Logic™.

After that, he was invited to a tournament being held by the American Beyblade team. From there he battled Free De La Hoya and Red Eye, losing to both of them. Red Eye even broke the energy layer of his Beyblade, Nightmare Luinor. Fortunately for Lui, he learns then that Beyblade is so much more fun when victory isn't assured, and he goes home.

During the Turbo age, Lui is as powerful as ever, battling with Grim Luinor (in the show it's actually called Brutal Luinor but I don't like that) and training to get stronger like always. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way his training is interrupted by a new Blader named Aiger Akabane, alongside his associates, Ranjiro Kiyama and Fubuki Sumiye. He accepts their challenge, battles them all at once and wipes the floor with the bumbling trio.

Then comes the Luinor Cup, which he hosts himself to battle the Bladers of Beigoma, and Aiger worms his way in and fights all the way to the finals. Lui faces against him once more aaand the biggest upset of the series goes down. Lui loses to Aiger.

Deciding he needs to train even harder, he returns to the mountains to start the next phase of his training, eager to return and even the score with all his rivals.
