Biography
Everyone knows not to mess with Succorbenoth. She has earned her place in the clan as the spiteful blacksmith that completely hates everyone. And her thick masculine Finnish accent adds to her threats a bit. The only dragon she probably wouldn't rip to shreds is her mother, Saylivi, but she still isn't very nice to her. She has no tolerance for hatchlings, and often threatens to eat them, which send them off crying to some adult, who then comfort them saying she only eats insects and plants, but its no secret that Succorbenoth still eats miscellaneous meats even with her being a Skydancer. She is also the dirtiest in the clan. Her fur is always compacted with soot that she refuses to clean from herself, and there's a rumour in the clan that she use to be a different color, but her metallurgy work has made her obsidian and maize.
Succorbenoth never spoke as a hatchling, no one knows why, she just never did, and she was also very antisocial. Then, when she was barely old enough to be considered not a hatchling anymore, she left the clan. She told them that she would return, but she never really had the intentions of keeping to that truth, she decided that if she liked somewhere she would stay there. She traveled to all of the elemental zones. Succor wanted to learn about the world she lived in, and also see if she liked somewhere enough to stay. This travel also could of been a primitive instinct to spread the plague.
Eventually, around the time of the Flameforger's Festival she found herself in the Ashfall Waste. Since it was the holiday season, it was a very busy time for any dragon in the Ashfall Waste, with different dragons rushing in to gather Glowing Embers and celebrate the holiday season. Young Succorbenoth was easily captivated by this activity and eventually settled down with a small fire clan.
Strangely, Succorbenoth couldn't communicate well, nor could she talk very well. So her caretaker while she was at her clan, Uzugn, helped teacher to speak (she happened to have a Finnish accent) and taught her all the metallurgy she knew. She saw the raw talent in her and, under her guidance, she became an expert blacksmith. After living with this clan for such a long time, Succor decided to call it home, and even started to love Uzugn. Succor and Uzegn were inseparable, they were constantly together making different object and designing new things to make. And to the clan, it was quite obvious that they were very fond of each other.
Then the Riot of Rot came around. No one would of expected what would of happened with Succor. Some primitive instinct aroused in her once she started to see the All-Seeing Shrooms and all of different Plague decor, and she knew she had to return home. She had never planned to leave her beloved clan, but she just couldn't not return to her birth clan. So, one day during the Riot of Rot, she told her clan and lover good bye and left for her birth clan. She promised Uzugn that she would return, but empty words hold no meaning.
When she finally made it back to her birth clan, Havoc greeted her warmly, he seemed to be incapable of ever forgetting anyone, even though she had been gone for such a long time. Her mother also welcomed her home, but this was no longer the clan she grew up with. All of her siblings and anyone slightly familiar was gone and replaced with strange faces that avoided her. She took up home in the back of the lair, away from everyone, and with the help of Ajmer, she got herself a small cave in the lair with a chimney and set up her forge.
Succor now resides in her cave, where there is always a large fire going that constantly pushes out chocking black smoke. Most dragons give her cave a large birth because if you come within 15 meters of it your going to get tar-like soot on yourself. She spends most of her time in her cave doing some sort of metal work, the constant pounding of her hammer on some sort of metal to make some object. Succorbenoth never keeps anything she makes though, few in the clan have an appreciation for metalwork, so she tends to just melt her work back down and make something else.
