Omani tries so very hard to subdue the darkness within him. He is acutely aware that he is only 3 generations away from the Glitch Queen herself. Every nest he hopes he will have children who do not carry the curse. He's had several mates in his endeavor to quell this darkness....

Thus far he has been unsuccessful.

He sees the darkness in every child's eyes. He watches them fly off to new lairs, knowing they will continue to pass on his curse.

He has met a lovely Fae though... Vuundaris. He has seen her children, so full of light. He hopes against all hope that breeding with her will produce children of his own who are not shade touched.

On November 20, 2019, Omani travels to her lair. It is the first time leaving his cozy home at The Dark Carnival. With luck, he will have found what he seeks and it will not be his last....


November 25th, 2019

Omani hatches his first nest with Vuundaris.
He sought for so long to have children whose souls were untouched by the Shade, but the darkness in their eyes sank his heart more and more with every nest....

Until this first nest hatched.

He saw the bright eyes of Varix, Viradya and Vexxed. In that moment, his heavy heart filled with hope for the first time. Maybe the darkness within him really isn't destined to spread! Maybe he really can have offspring who follow the Light just as he does, like his mother before him.

Omani turned to Vuundaris, a soft adoring chitter sounding from his chest. He tells her she is the one he has been searching for. That in her he has found the Light that can lift the darkness in his soul.

In that moment, his heart became hers.


December 5th, 2019

When he was ready to breed again he brought her a gift and confessed to her that she has his heart, now and always. Omani, son of Mara and Prince of Light, bowed to Vundaris.

It was this day, he asked her to be his mate.

There was a moment of silence as Vuundaris took in Omani’s shaky, but determined words.

Helios was watching them intently from the nearby chaise, hardly bothering to pretend to be reading at this point.

She blinked, expression slowly lighting up in a smile. ‘Yes.’

‘Y-you…’ Omani blinked a couple of times. ‘...yes?’

‘Oh yes.’ She took his hands into hers. She felt them shake and brought them to her lips. ‘My King of Light.’
