A wise, ambitious, and quirky Wildclaw, Mombasa - or Basa for short - is a hunter as well as a fighter. Before he leaves on a hunt with his daughter, or into an ambush with Mercer, Basa's eyes are draped with a colorful fabric with tassels that help to weigh it down over his head. The Wildclaw believes that a loss of sight allows him to better focus on more important cues during a hunt or a in the heat of battle. Other dragons in the clan see this as reckless, careless, and dangerous, and while Basa has had several close calls, he has yet to return unsuccessful.
