The youngest and smallest hatchling from a nest of three, Nenya was born with all the vigor and determination of her warrior ancestors, along with a quick wit and irrepressible good humor that endeared her to the rest of her agemates. A natural at ranged fighting, Nenya learned quickly under her mother's tutelage and eventually became an archer like Adamantine, capable of attacking from great distances with ranged weapons and spells alike. She took to the warrior life with grace, and when she was selected for fostering with an allied Nature clan, nobody in her family was surprised.

As she was packing her bag to leave home, Adamantine pulled Nenya aside and gave her a long hug. "I know I'm being silly," her mother sighed, "and that you're going to a wonderful home where you'll do great things. I just hope that you never lose that lightness inside of you. My only advice for you is to hold onto the good in the world, and let go of the bad. The more you're able to do that, the happier you'll be."

Nenya was surprised by the direction the conversation had taken, and for a moment she thought her mother might cry. But Adamantine covered the flicker of pain in her eyes with a smile before presenting her with a familiar pair of stiff leather shinguards, identical to the ones she wore. "If you're going to be an archer, you should look the part," she said with a wink. "I won't bother telling you to make me proud," she said, giving Nenya a smile, "because I know you will. Take care, my dear," she said, before turning her back and melting into the darkness of the Nursery.
