After the Infection, those who gave their souls to stop the Raven transcended the physical planes to haunt the ethereal one. But they didn't exactly relinquish their hold on their bodies; instead, they continue to visit their old friends and family as ghosts. The remaining have struggled to maintain their lives, completing odd tasks and searching Sornieth for their light at the end of the tunnel. Some live in jealousy of those who had already found their light, but others live in perpetual strife, seeking that which they do not have.
