"QUOTE."

A first generation Night Warrior, Hekili is the son of the legendary Pulchrior. For most of his life, Hekili was a wanderer who was searching for a home of his own before beginning his training to become a Night Warrior. During this time, he discovered ways to control the lightning element he was born to as well as the thunder that comes with it. This incredible power has served him well over the years but has contributed to a somewhat skewed personality. He believes that because of his age and powers, he should be the one to command the warriors of the clan, not his nephew Aumakua.

His defiant and aggressive personality has lead to him challenging Aumakua several times for his position as well as challenging Hiialo for position once or twice. Each time, he has been defeated, but he continues to attempt to challenge the two or goad them into attacking him. This behavior has lead to several clan mates wondering why he is still allowed to stay within the clan, but Na Leo has looked into the core of his soul and declared that he has a pure heart that has only been wrapped in a tough shell because of his lifetime of isolation.

As time goes on, he has slowly lost this aggressive personality and become a valuable member of the clan. During his training to become a fully trained Night Warrior, he came to the realization that while he is older and possesses elemental powers, his nephew has earned his position and fully deserves it. When he finally accepted that he would not command the same loyalty in the warriors, he fell into his own position within the clan as a mid-ranking warrior. Na Leo often visits him to look into his soul, and each time she does, she comes away with a smile and pride over his progress to remove the shell around his heart and expose the kind soul within.
