Description:
Tarragon is a small and excitable tundra who founded the Florabrisa Clan along with his closest friends Moraine, Zaffre, and Tamarind, the four of whom lead Florabrisa together. Tarragon takes on most of the social responsibilities, checking in on clan members and the general health of the community. He tries to be a friend to everyone in the lair, perhaps spreading himself a bit thin at times, but his care is genuine.

Off duty, he spends his time roaming the gardens, giving his flowers as much attention and appreciation as he can. Tarragon feels deeply connected with his flowers and has made it his mission to protect flowerkind, and make the world more beautiful and happy for all dragons. In fact, Florabrisa began as a small private garden he planted for himself as a place he could run away to when life was too hectic. After some years, he and his friends came to live at the garden full time, and from there, it blossomed into a clan.

Role:
Tarragon's leadership duties are a responsibility he shares with his wife Moraine, and with the other two founding Florabrisa members Zaffre, and Tamarind. Tarragon tends to be more recognizable than the other three thanks to his natural charisma, cheerful attitude, and general approachability - many accept him as the glue holding everyone together.

Tarragon and the other founders have the first say when it comes to decisions within the clan, though they all do their best to listen to Florabrisa's residents and come up with favorable solutions for the direction of the clan as a whole. Tarragon often finds himself playing peacemaker for the clan's members, or at least getting feuding dragons to settle down and have some tea with him. It's hard to be too upset with Tarragon around.

Even though he is a leader, Tarragon thinks of himself as a gardener first and foremost. He spends much of his time taking care of his plants, and feels at peace when he is surrounded by them. When he isn't checking in on members of the clan, he can be found walking around the lair's gardens, making sure the all flowers are doing well. It isn't uncommon to find him having accidentally fallen asleep while doing this.

Personality:
Tarragon is known for his cheerfulness, doing his best to make dragons happy. He has a strong love for other dragons and does what he can to show it. He's meek at times and can be a bit anxious, but he will put his foot down if he sees others being hurt.

He has a very quiet speaking voice, and some find him difficult to hear. He always puts a lot of thought into his words and does his best to never say anything mean or insulting. He tends to feel overly guilty if he thinks he's said something wrong.

Despite the dietary preferences of tundras, Tarragon refuses to consume flowers. He's known to get a bit emotional if he catches anyone else eating flowers - as such, most plant eaters in the clan avoid doing so when he is around. Tarragon mostly eats the fresh fruits and veggies the farmers of the lair produce. He'll occasionally indulge in his wife's baked goods, but they're often too much for his sensitive stomach, much to his dismay.

Background:
The eldest of four brothers, Tarragon was the only one hatched in Wind. When he was only a couple years old, his family moved to the Tangled Wood, where he grew up in a sparsely populated, backwoods town. In the Shadow flight, he had difficulty fitting in with other children, as he wasn't one for tricks, and tended to take things literally. He found himself on the receiving end of pranks very often, with other dragons eager to take advantage of his naive and trusting nature. To this day, he still has a large distaste for pranks.

Throughout his life in Shadow, he'd always longed to return to Wind despite having very few memories of the flight. Once he became an adult, he left for the Plateau and never looked back. He still wrote to his family back home, but he knew he could never return, not even for a visit.

Tamarind was the first dragon he met during his new life in Wind. The two dated for a few months while living together in Galven, a large city in the Zephyr Steppes. Though Tarragon struggled to find employment, he enjoyed exploring the city and taking in the culture of the Plateau as Tamarind supported him. He finally felt at home in an easygoing environment among other Wind dragons, even if he didn't think he'd ever truly be a city dragon.

While the two were still dating, they met Moraine. After this, Tarragon and Tamarind set out together to try to find Tarragon's hatchclan, based on nothing but Tarragon's vague memories and what little he'd learned from his parents. While they were not successful, Tarragon ended up planting a garden in a spot they had landed to rest on the way back to Galven. Tarragon broke up with Tamarind not long after their return to the city, feeling they weren't really working out as a couple. However, with help from Moraine, all three of them stayed close friends and continued mutually supporting each other in the city.

Moraine, who developed a crush on Tarragon far sooner than she'd want to admit, ended up asking him out after some time and the two were very happy together. Tarragon did his best to support Moraine in her career as a chef. Her job often involved long hours and little respect, but Moraine was always happy to come home to Tarragon's cheerful face and gentleness. Moraine eventually introduced Tarragon and Tamarind to her former coworker Zaffre and soon they were a quartet of best friends! Soon after Tamarind and Zaffre began dating, Moraine proposed to Tarragon, and not long after the wedding, the four friends founded Florabrisa together.

Favorites:
Tarragon adores flowers of all kinds. However, he has a little bias toward cherry blossoms as pink is his favorite color. He loves the gentle breeze flowing through his fur as he strolls through the abundant flower-filled gardens of his home. Tarragon also is a very big fan of hugs, and is always happy to offer one to someone in need!

He is filled with love for the world and he does his best to see the good in everyone and everything except... he's afraid of spiders - he tries really really hard to not be but he can't help it. However, he still does his best to respect all living creatures and doesn't wish harm on anything.

Appearance:
Tarragon is small, even for a tundra. He is rather delicate looking, with a somewhat lean frame. His wings look a little too big for his body. His white fur is very soft and naturally smells like baby's breath flowers. He has a gentle, kindly face with big eyes, high cheekbones, small pointy ears, and relatively short orange horns.

He likes to decorate himself with magically preserved flowers that naturally fell off their stalks. He likes to wear light, flowery clothing and has a small collection of floral dresses. He also has a slight interest in jewelry he picked up from his younger brother Paragon.
