Generation 8 Night Warrior
How to trace him back to Pulchiror and Kidara:
Pride,
A seasoned Night Warrior and loyal member of the Windflight Clan, Shadow has lived here for as long as he can remember, being one of the Clan's oldest members. Recently, the management of the Windflight Army has been thrust upon him and fellow Night Warrior and son of Pulchrior himself, Ladon, which he hopes to lead and train many more fighters in the years to come.
Recalling what he had learnt from his stay with the Risen Demons, Shadow has used his Capsule-like belly to his advantage. He intentionally leaves his neck exposed when lying in wait for an enemy- yes, risky- using the water-like coloring of capsule liquid to lure in especially thirsty foes. Then, he strikes.
SHADOW'S LOG
Divinos' Lair (#327233) - left at level 15
During his tenure with the Risen Demons, Shadow developed his combat skills and made some friends.
When he first arrived at the clan for his training Shadow was surprised at the look of the two dragons he was to be training with, Imp (another Night Warrior but Imp was Gen 9) and Conquitus (a Mire Flyer in training who was obnoxiously pink and red, his Piebald and Paint making him even more so). The instant dislike he developed for Conquitus was tangible. After all, how could a dragon successfully fight if he was pink of all colors?
He was quickly proven wrong when they first entered the battlefield and Conquitus proved to be an even stronger fighter than Shadow, though he wasn't anywhere near as fast. The first battle ignited a rivalry between the two that Imp quickly found he had to mediate, just in case it grew out of hand during battle.
In order to best improve his fighting he was taken into the arena by the founders of the clan, Libitus and Lanche, who taught him the best combat techniques within The Mire and Kelp Beds. Due to this special training he learned how to best disguise himself and use his Night Warrior blood to his advantage before he returned to his training team. His dark colors enabled him to camouflage amongst the shadows, providing him the best vantage points for ambush as Night Warriors were originally intended for. He was taught how to harness his instinct to fight - which was bred into his very blood - and use the instinct and intellect to conquer all who he faced in battle.

Notes from Shadow:
'My time here will not be long lasting, of that I know, but I have learned a great many things here that I hope to pass on to my own hatchlings when the time comes.
The first is about the nature of Night Warrior blood itself. Instinct can be bred, and the Night Warriors were bred to instinctually fight. I was taught that the instinct I was too proud to use in combat before, believing myself too superior to bow to such tendencies, was a useful weapon. I learned that my instinct helps to drive me in combat. That if I listen to (not necessarily obey but rather work with) the urges that I experience during combat that it helps make combat easier, more fluid in a way I have never before experienced.
I also learnt, through another Night Warrior - this one the child of Pulchrior himself, that my markings and colors can be useful for combat in an indirect way. My skink and stripe markings help me blend in to the darkness, to camouflage, and my brightly colored spines can be used as bait. If I move myself in the light just so they reflect and draw attention, often causing foes to become curious and seek to take a look. The perfect trap, no?
I made friends with another Night Warrior named Imp wh ---'
This is where the note abruptly ends, likely because Marine stole it off of Shadow because he was taking too long to finish it and hand it over.
Meanwhile, the dragons of Windflight Clan were indeed training, making the most of Warriors' Way. Many carried pamphlets about the event in the days leading up to it, waving excitedly at their friends to come join them. Ladon, the dark Guardian in charge of the Windflight army, frequently strutted about the Clan's grounds with pride when he wasn't sparring.
One morning, a mock battle between Chiper and Shadow rolled out of hand and the two swooped through the sky over the Singer's Brook docks as Shadow tried desperately to blend in with the brightening sky and Chiper used her dawn-like colors to her advantage.
The fight was getting closer to ground as Shadow struggled to beat his wings, weighed down by heavy armor (note to himself; order another set, this one was getting quite beaten). Chiper dived, claws extended, ready to bowl him over, when-
"Hey! Watch it, you bumbling Bogsneak!" Captain Jet of the Cannonball stomped out of nowhere, butting Shadow aside with his tail. The latter grunted and rolled aside.
"I've been looking for some Windflight help, and here you are, but you could've squashed the kid!" Jet flicked his tail again, disgruntled, but this time he was pointing to a small purple Guardian sitting rather quietly on the docks.
Chiper doubled back to peer at the hatchling. "Kid? Where do you come from, little one?"
Undauntable, a Veilspun who was the Cannonball's head (and only) engineer, fluttered by with a book in her hands. "Check inside and see," she sang. "You won't believe your eyes!"
She was rather right. This Guardian, no more than a few days old, was undoubtedly the offspring of deceased Alligator Clan leaders Taylor and Steven.
