Gen 1 Night Warrior
Pulchrior -> Sága

As the fires of battle cast a pall of ash,
the drums thunder from futures past.
Visions of events done and things to come,
fill my awaiting mind, my voice shall speak
what outcomes the Fates decide.
As warriors charge forward, berserk fashion,
the fog of war parts just enough
to deduce through the haze of future.
With firm voice and hand,
I shall join the fray as a warrioress true,
strike and smite the enemies through.
If a day should come that I fall,
a descendant shall rise to the call.

B I O G R A P H Y

______ She comes from a strong line, the original progenitors of the Night Warrior clan. Growing up among her siblings, she was seen as the quiet ember--silent and observant like her father but quick to react should something strike her ire. She was her mother's child in that aspect despite not knowing anything of her mother's past, but the scars that patterned her mother's skin was testament of a tale of battles and hardships. Her relationship with them was that of cordiality and deference for she loved her independence more.

______ Early on, she knew there was something different about herself. Luck seemed to almost always be on her side, to the point of siblings and friends would say she rigged games to her advantage. However, the reality was that she could sometimes see strings that linked individuals together or have a sense of when a moment of importance was to happen. First it came randomly, but over time she found ways to gently pull at the fabric of space and time to draw the visions to her.

______ Years into her childhood and, at the cusp of adulthood when mastery over her ability was finally attained, she suddenly found herself in the process of metamorphoses. Her body created a shell from her hide that expanded outward, encasing her entirely as her mind went dormant. She could hear the voices of her family calling to her. She could hear them hammering against the hull of the vessel, but it eventually stopped. Her mind would wander when it was quiet, she felt herself floating through the past most of the time, reliving ancient battles that no one barely had any knowledge of. When she floated to the future, it was rife with chaos as clans banded in their flights to fight for dominance in the realm. Peace happened far and few in between, breaking quicker than the time it took to forge. Time seemed to move so quickly around her, yet she knew not more than minutes had passed in real time.

______ Her emergence from the chrysalis was a quiet one, which happened in the light of the full moon. Something called to her, not from outside but from within, that the time was right. Striking at the hull that encased her, the dull thuds reverberating around her, she gasped as she broke free and breathed the cool night air. Shaking off the remnants of chrysalis that clung weakly to her, she stretched and arced her back as a she let loose a battle cry towards the moon. Immediately, she knew from their looks and glances that something was off.

______ In a silvery pool of water, she caught her reflection and she stumbled back. The reflection that gazed back at her was not normal self. The raven hair was gone and replaced by that of pale, pale moonlight. Her eyes, however, remained the same--the striking pale blue of lightning. The body that she had entered the chrysalis was not the same that she emerged from with, where she had been in the early awkward stages of pubescent change was now that of a more matured, willowy woman. Shaking her head, she looked back at her parents, who simply shook their heads. They didn't know what happened either. What she did know was that Time was her friend and she could see it much more clearly than before. Though she couldn't directly influence anything that she saw or felt with her ability, but found that speaking or doing certain things could change the course of an event.

______ It was when she was attempting to change an outcome by speaking to a Beastclan elder that she met her beloved. His name was Sökkvabekkr--a Plague-born male--and was a trader at the time, facilitating a the exchange of various dragonmade goods for harvested materials that were hard to come by in his homeland. He had overheard parts of her conversation with the elder and decided to chime in with his two cents against her request, which was made on behalf of another clan who had requested her help, to allow a small contingent to camp nearby. His explanation to the elder for his reasoning against was that this would be seen as favoring with a certain elemental flight, which would easily sour any relations with others that the Beastclan had been dealing with. The elder ended up leaving with Sökkvabekkr to discuss the matter further, leaving her standing awkwardly in the market square.

______ She attempted to convince the elder to her side, but to no avail, Sökkvabekkr had apparently won him over. Taking the situation as a loss, she headed out to the clan she had been contracted by. As she made camp for the night, the sound of wheels on the road caught her attention. As the wheels came to a stop, a part of her cringed internally as Sökkvabekkr waved and greeted her. Despite her attempts to politely decline his wish to share camp, he settled across the fire from her. His chatter filled the rest of the night until she decided to turn in for rest for an early morning ~~escape~~ start. His utter disregard for her comfort zone and the way he sabotaged her contract annoyed her, especially the way he smiled as though it would smooth things over with her. It was not love at first sight.
