B I O G R A P H Y

______ Myrtle happily bent over her plants, the buds of flowers starting from the color of their leaves to bright pigments of pinks and blues and yellows. These plants were her passion, and everyday she spent her time humming softly to them to help them grow. Myrtle rose to her feet before stretching and making her way over to her herb garden. Inside a border of decorative stones with the blues of the spearmint's roots twisting like a river through the cracks of the stones, patches of culinary spices and herbs crowded together. Among the plants she grew for cooking, bright bundles of medical plants rose up from the soil healthy, ready for harvest.
______ These herbs she grew marked her role within the clan. Each day she worked tirelessly to cultivate the desperately needed remedial plants of chickweed and feverfew, among others so that Zika, the clan's healer, could treat the ill of the clan. The imperial had recently requested a bundle of the chickweed for one remedy or another, so Myrtle went to work gathering a small basketful of chickweed tops and skillfully cut away the parts she needed. Rising once again, Myrtle gently placed the fragile flowers into her basket. She smiled and headed towards the entrance. As beautiful as these were flourishing in her garden, she was always glad to lend a helping hand to someone in need, anyway she could.
