A small town that is rapidly growing into a bustling city, Windhaven is a hub of travel and commerce on the Windswept Plateau. Governed by the democratically elected Matriarch, Tova, Windhaven was founded by refugees.

Ex-slaves fleeing imprisonment by a rogue Plague clan, these first founders of the city included Tova and her mate Rakshan, as well as their children. Many other of the founding members have since moved on, but Tova wished to settle in the land of her birth and raise her family in peace under the protection of the Windsinger.

Now, years later, Tova's children are all grown, and each has found a niche for themself in the town that has sprung up around them. A home for all, Windhaven has seen a recent surge in Imperial immigrants seeking shelter following Lightweaver's pronouncement that they were a "mistake".

The clan has become complacent, with only a few dragons mindful of the dangers that may follow them from their past. What is there, lurking in the darkness, may destroy their very way of life.
