A hatchling has been born that seems to be mentioned in an ancient prophecy foretelling of the downfall of Sornienth...
A new road has been built that paves straight through AspyreClan’s territory. Many new dragons have joined the ranks of the Clan... but just as many have chosen to leave.
Lust has risen to power and, now worshipped as a god, is plotting Sleet's downfall.
Sunset has finally found her soulmate after years of searching and heartbreak! Hopefully she and Lumen will spend many long years together.

~ LORE ~
You are standing near the boundary of the growths that mark the territory of the Scarred Wasteland. Looking out as far as you can see, you see what looks like used to be forests, that are now dead and withered, their curled branches grasping for the life that the plague stole from them. Further away from the boundary lies a series of cliffs, over the tops of which you cannot see. Even a red haze seems to lie over the whole place. It is indeed a wasteland.
Suddenly, a gleam of something shining in a dead bush disturbs your thoughts. It doesn't look quite... right. It's probably just a rock, you reason to yourself. Yet, you can't quite seem to stop yourself from placing a talon inside Plague territory. The soil feels utterly dry, not quite sand. Then you place another talon... and another... and then before you know it,you are entirely standing on the wrong side of the boundary. It's too late to turn back now. You step forward until you are right in front of the bush. You look over your shoulder nervously.
Nobody's there.
The bush is fairly big; you will need to at least stick your head and shoulders into it if you are to reach the mysterious object. You oblige. As you are leaning forward, you begin to feel dizzy. You convince yourself that it's nothing as you rummage through the bush. By then you can barely stand out of nausea. Darkness is marching inwards from the edges of your vision. You double over, or maybe slump to the ground, you aren't quite sure, and then darkness envelops you.
You wake to see a cup right in front of your face. It's full of some kind of disgusting-looking sludge. You look up to see what sort of dragon would make you drink something so gross. A beautiful female Guardian stands in front of you. She raises an eyebrow. "Drink it," she says in a quiet but imposing way. You don't want to mess with her, so you manage to gag down the sludge. Your nausea immediately starts fading, and you no longer feel like a piece of prey that was thrashed to death. You realize that this pretty Guardian is a healer.
"I'm Unsophylax," she softly answers your unspoken question with a smile. "And this is my mate, Shimm." She gestures with her head to a corner of the cave you're in, where a small Fae is organizing herbs. He looks up and manages a distant smile, but his mind is clearly on other matters.
You turn back expecting to see Unsophylax but instead see a wiry female Mirror. You are surprised enough to make a weird gasping noise that sounds like you're choking on a carrot. The Mirror rumbles with throaty laughter. "Greetings," she says, raising her wings. "I heard you came too far past the boundary." You shuffle your talons, embarrassed. She isn't going to punish you, is she? "You won't be punished. It's not often that we receive visitors. Perhaps you would even like to stay a while?" She offers. You shrug. "Well, feel free to stay as long as you like," she shoots a glance at Unsophylax. "You should keep taking that potion that Unsophylax gave you, though, until you adapt to the bad air. I'm Sleet, matriarch of AspyreClan. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
You raise you eyebrows at the "AspyreClan" bit.
"Ah," she says, "You wonder why the infamous Plague Flight killers would name their clan Aspyre. It is because we are choosing to aspire to something greater than a life of contamination. Just because we live in a wasteland doesn't mean we're moral examples of one," she finishes with a smile. "For now, feel free to meet the other members of my clan."
You step out the Healer's Cave and see AspyreClan going about its daily buisness. Dragons are training, hunting, and just relaxing in the beating glare of sunlight, which is weird, because it's giving you a mild case of scaleburn.
