Welcome to the Temple of Fractured Light, a haven for dragons of all walks and temperaments. Here at the school we specialize in the use of progressive, physical conflict resolution tactics which have been vetted through generations of martial practice. Our school is home to many unique and powerful disciplines in the dragoncentric martial arts know as Lo’ng Fu.

The school has two primary goals. One is to cultivate an environment of learning and discipline where dragons can come to feel safe and grow to their fullest potential. The second is to breed and train the greatest martial dragons possible to fight and end conflicts of all types in a succinct and definative fashion. Sometimes perhaps with a little flourish to add to the effect.

Formed by the wandering sorcerer Fayde and his ferocious companion Opal, the Temple of Fractured Light has carved a name for itself across several realms. As word spreads of the Temple’s mission more and more dragons join the martial court working to hone their individual techniques. The organization is constantly tending and renovating its grounds so as to accommodate the ever growing ranks of its disciples and teachers. It’s walls also house and incorporate a plethora of advanced technologies created by the students and master craftsmen who dwell there.

While mostly peaceful, the dragons of the school do hold to a martial philosophy. Resolution through conflict seems to be a universal truth. While this doesn’t mean you should create conflict, it does mean you should be prepared for it.

A constant den of training can be heard echoing thorough the temple grounds. Students work in groups lead by instructors specialized in various techniques. There are many unique skill sets within the Temples ranks, varying between purely physical styles to mystical arts and everything in between. Everyone, even familiars participate in daily routines.

The Temple as a whole has several different factions, all working toward the greater good. Each faction works in its own way to help the Temple and it’s cause grow strong. Loyalty to the Temple is first amongst all things and it’s members are as much a family as they are a school.

The Temple does a lot of community outreach. It’s members will answer calls to help broker peace between clans, pacify disturbances in outlying lands, and explore unknown territory. The more they work the more their reputation grows, and the more dragons hear of their exploits the more dragons come to join the cause. As eclectic as they appear this is a fiercely loyal and devoted group of dragons, skilled in the art of Lo’ng Fu. Woe be to any that cross them.

The Temple has little bias toward who joins, only asking that its members contribute to the community in some way. Dragons who come to the Temple must also be willing and able to learn and/or teach a martial technique. Nearly any skill is welcome as such a large organization has many needs. Fortunately, several of its established members have shown incredible talent and ingenuity which have allowed the group to prosper and collect a wealth of resources and useful technology.

The Temple itself is nestled deep in a forest on a large mountain overlooking the surrounding lands. Once an eye sore, the disciples of the Temple have worked to create a more ascetic environment and look. The high stone walls, are overgrown in places with vines and ivy. A waterfall crashes down along the back wall, and runs into a river which cuts through it’s grounds. Various natural phenomenon are cultivated inside the walls, and there are several large gardens.

It is important to note that the temple is much larger than it appears as its grounds extend deep into the mountains and surrounding land. Vast structures and hallways wind and twist every direction for miles. The are rooms and housing for all manner of creature, a grand coliseum for martial games, training areas, bath houses, shops, smithies, small farms and nesting grounds. Indeed a small city has sprung up in its shadow as the temple virtually guarantees perpetual safety.

While much of its architecture gives the overall aesthetic of being a part of the natural environment those looks are deceiving. Within the structures of the temple are some of the most advanced technologies in this world. Works of pure imagination wrought into being through skilled craftsmanship and magic. These technologies do not only contribute to the defense of the temple but also to the development of its influence abroad.
