Call me Pelican. I love science, birds, worldbuilding, drawing, and too many other things. I've gotten a bunch of school friends into Flight Rising— we're the dragon cult and growing.

Art and lore are only loosely canon. I use my lair's location/size—Everbloom gardens, but the map location and geography are headcanon. Also, magic does not exist here.

Finding the clan

During a directionless, claustrophobic trek through the Shrieking Wilds, you've stumbled upon a garden-choked clearing, tangles of flowers and roots proving to be a tripping hazard. This would be the home of Mother BirdBrained's little clan of violent lesbian nature enthusiasts. Welcome! In the "open campus institution" of this clan, dragons research together in a (bio)diverse environment, fit for all the fields, (except medical, most of biological, etc, but irrelevant) with the support of each other.

A saccharine scent, of both flowers and decay fill the air. Every part of you wants to turn away, but for some reason, you don't. You take a step on the delicate, hollow ground, above the intricate ridgeback tunnel system, used for housing, archives, irrigation (they've developed a spectacular agricultural system!) and connecting this's clan's two territories.

This clan is extremely secluded, you note. They run on a unique, self-sustaining little government, "no need for money or capitalism or whatever" the leader, Cambrie calls it. Cambrie and her comrade Spore Creature, dictators and preachers of the Gearguts, overlook the clan and rule it. Nobody believes in Gearguts (because her real identity is a secret), but they play along with the religion anyway, think of it as a community bonding roleplay.

As you reach the edge of the meadow, there's a large sign with a basket of meters— oh, those are Geiger counters. You don't put too much thought into it and keep trudging along. Bright orange blazers guide you the rest of the way. Somewhere along the way, you feel a poke. The source: the thumbnail of a grey and red dragon you could only assume was Mort... not Mort, she says, "gretchen with a lowercase g", joins you. She trots ahead, then walks back to you the whole way, and soon your Geiger counter's having a fit.

And then the soil darkens, fewer trees and more burnt snags surround you. There's sort of another clearing, and a massive plane sits in the center of it all. Trees are bent in strange directions around it, large dismembered branches litter the ground and there's a near-perfect circle of sunlight haloing the vehicle. It really is spectacular, until the inhabitants of the vehicle come out

Unusual, scarred, stong-looking creatures, straight up dinosaurs, come in and out to greet you. You're in awe.

Uhh yeah that's our tour time for them to eat you I guess

Also Anna is the coolest dude ever and is my favorite person in the world and I love Mothman

What i meant to say was: MY DRAGONS SMELL FINE, and I DON'T HAVE A PIGEON BOYFRIEND (we broke up). FURTHERMORE, i've NEVER HAD nor EVER WILL have ANY romantic relationship with ANY PIGEON! (Also, let me know if you think of a pun for "Trotsky.")

Please excuse my previous comment. I admit it was poor taste but it was late at night and i decided to use a pun as a last ditch effort after Stalin' all week.
