Few will ever travel to the Cypress Swamp, a hidden island near where the Tangled Wood borders on the Sea of A Thousand Currents. Below its depths in the Leviathan Trench, and above, in its tall trees, dwell the dragons of Banyan-Bent (formerly called the Alae).

The murkey depths surrounding the swamp give way to clearer water, which is riddled with underwater homes and tunnels.

The thick, humid air is filled with the chatter of birds (anhingas, seagulls, pelicans). The sea laps softly against the edges of the island. Palm, cypress, and banyan trees (along with many others) reach into the sky, providing sweet shade and helping to block out the harsh sun.

Though the skies can easily fill with angry storm-clouds, they are often the color of a more carefree nature; a light, vibrant blue lit up by the golden sun. At night, the stars peak through the tree tops, and the cicadas and katydids come out to sing.
