Khryseos & Argyreos were two dogs that were made out of gold and silver to be the guards of the palace of Alkinous, the King of the Phaiakians. They are sometimes only called The Gold & Silver Dogs of King Alkinous.

Designation: Khryseos is capable of caring for any familiar, regardless of size or temperament. The tedious duty of bonding can be handed off to this machine that never needs sleep nor can feel fear or attachment. Most animal and magical companions cannot distinguish Khryseos from a true dragon, so fear not - they'll bond with it just fine. Ghostly, spiritual, and electrical familiars not recommended for use with Khryseos.
