Clan Lore
~WIP~
Origin and Structure
The clan was founded by a skydancer named Korra in her home in the Ashfall Wastes. Korra had never quite fit in there and the clan soon moved to the Windswept Plateau where they flourished. The clan grew there and would likely have stayed forever had Korra not be called to serve the Windsinger. She left the clan to her daughter Aallotar and her daughter's mate Abdulbaith. Aallotar liked the Windswept Plateau well enough but as the clan grew and changed they gained several dragons who hailed from the Tangled Wood. These dragons pined for the dark trees and the stories they told intrigued the rest of the clan. Also as the clan changed in structure and more dragons who were suspicious joined, rumours were starting about them. Aallotar called a vote and it was decided that the clan would move to the Tangled Wood as soon as the hatchlings were grown.

The clan has been a matriarchy thus far although that is more by coincidence than design. There is not a strict hierarchy enforced as that would be difficult to maintain with the wide variety of dragons from all walks of life that live with the clan. Jobs are likewise not set in stone or assigned but rather shared and traded depending on preference and who is around at the time. The only exceptions are the High Leader and the Lady Protector roles which belong to Aallotar and Vinya respectively.

The clan accepts dragons from all elemental alignments regardless of morals. This includes dragons whose nature is more inclined towards violence or disorder and those who are dragon in form only. Tampering with clan mates is forbidden, when these dragons feel the need to use their powers against another they are encouraged to take a trip and exercise this elsewhere. This would not endear the clan to their neighbours but nobody is foolish enough to explain that they send their monsters out to harm others rather than them.

This acceptance of various dangerous dragons has resulted in a strong clan. The weaker members are protected by the strong if for no other reason than that they belong to them. Thus far none have been banished from the clan although several have chosen to leave after a while. The multitude of skydancers helps to keep the peace with several who have dedicated their lives to bridging the gaps between others.

Starblessed
Several of the dragons of the clan are covered in stars and constellations and there is a legend that is told as a bedtime story that their ancestors flew so beautifully that the stars themselves grew covetous and longed to fly and dance alongside them. These stars spilled from the sky onto the fur feathers and scales of the dragons who were the most skilled and from then on they were blessed to shine with the light of the stars themselves. This is widely regarded to be a bedtime story and legend however certain members of the clan who were not hatched with their stars know that there is some truth to even the wildest legends and stories. Others of the clan are considered Moonblessed which speaks to their strength of character both kind and cruel and convictions deeply held.

Clan Members
The clan consists of mainly Skydancers as they flourish in large groups such as this. The leaders have always been Skydancers since their ability to read emotions aids in defusing conflicts. This enables the large Imperial population to exist in the clan despite their generally somewhat solitary nature. The Imperial dens are generally spaced out around the territory with Skydancers between them providing buffer. There is theoretically a risk of an emperor however as the clan has never gone to war they are not truly concerned. The Spirals of the clan fill in all gaps left by the Skydancers and Imperials and it is not uncommon to find them draped over and around the more friendly Imperials.

Recently the clan has become home to several displaced Gaolers. The interaction between the modern and ancient dragons can be a tad awkward but the Skydancers trained in diplomacy help smooth things out. They provide a shelter to those Gaolers who are no longer welcome in their icy homeland no matter the reason why.

With the large concentration of Skydancers the clan puts an emphasis on magical strength and knowledge, both free and forbidden. There are no arts considered too dark or dangerous to explore which has caused some interesting circumstances at times. The Gaolers of the clan have needed to grow accustomed to this freedom of study as it occasionally strays very close to the shade.

Every permanent member of the clan is trained by Vinya so that they can defend themselves if need be but several have been trained further in order to battle as she does in the Coluseum.

Isadora was originally an Imperial who fought alongside Vinya but upon learning about the Gaolers she convinced one of the clan's magic users to change her over. She is still a ferocious fighter and now her senses are even more heightened. She is not as suited for training others as Vinya but she is stronger and more lethal which enables her to hunt well.

The other fully trained dragons in the clan are Eleutherios and Brant. While Brant is blessed by the arcanist his fighting is done with claws rather than spells. This makes him dangerous because most assume that his specialty lies in the arcane magics and are taken off guard when he attacks up close and personal. Eleutherios on the other hand is a very competent healer and mage which he uses to support the others in the field when he can. Eleutherios is the mate of Arianna, Aallotar's daughter and heir.
If you see a dragon that you love on the AH and would like to haggle feel free to message me.

Main Dragons are generally at least semi-permas but if you're interested in purchasing I'd be willing to discuss. Dragons in the for sale and filter tabs may be exalted, and are in general for sale.
