As Nim follows the hatchling stealing, good for nothing Mirror, she find herself approaching all to close to the border of the Scarred Wasteland. The festering and invasive tendrils of the Wandering Contagion loom over the Sea of a Thousand Currents, but she must be brave. Nim continue her pursuit and catch sight of the Mirror ducking behind one of the Contagion's Membranes, disappearing into the cliff face. Alarmed, Nime rushes to see where he went and finds, tucked away and out of sight, a tunnel. Wary but determined, she ventures inside the rotting cliff face. The Pungent smell of decay and flesh is thick and the tunnel is without light. Feeling her way through the dark is hardly pleasant as each step is slimy or sticky or indescribably disgusting but the young Nocturne persists.

Hope isn't lost, however, and soon she sees a dim light. Nim follows it, eager to get this gruesome ordeal over with and reclaim the hatchling-napped tot but, when she reaches her destination he is greeted with an unhappy surprise. Waiting at the end of that tunnel was a massive Guardian, armor clad with cruel red eyes. Without a word she brings her massive claw down on Nim, trapping her against the wall. "Anyone who loves their hatchlings so dearly can join them in The Cleaver Phalanx." The Guardian growled before dragging Nim further into the ever expanding tunnel system.
