The product of a prestigious line of warriors, Dio knew from birth where their talents lay. They were raised as a stealthy hunter, their mottled shades of purple breaking up their silhouette against the chill nights. Battling fellow dragons held little appeal for them. Instead, they preferred tracking down famed monsters and legendary beasts, ones whose weaknesses could only be discovered through musty tomes and old dragon tales. Their reputation as a slayer grew, of course helped by their lineage among the night warriors. Alongside this sprung a reputation for their cold nature. They grew darker than intended as they spent their nights with spirits and beasts, gradually losing their emotions for other dragons and caring only for proving themselves in the world of monsters.
It came as quite a surprise when they found themselves enamored with a volatile bogsneak in the wastelands. Even more of a surprise was that this dragon had a taste for her own kind, but they escaped her cannibalistic urges and wormed themselves into becoming her protector despite her lethally efficient magical capabilities. Eventually they became partners, her dark magic decimating the spirits who only laughed at the touch of blades and fangs, and they settled easily within the glittering caves. They have no fear of disease despite living so close beneath the Plaguebringer's gaze, no fear at all while they remain together.
