Nestled among the hum-drum of the Millmeadows, a small hamlet surrounded by farmland is at peace. It’s made up of a decent number of conjoined houses and small farm buildings, as well as golden grain fields and a few windmills. During the daytime, a clan of dragons can be found moving about, but as the flaxen sunlight of the afternoon stretches over the hills, all is quiet…

...Maybe this clan isn’t that peaceful. Although, to be fair, “clan” is a misnomer here. Most of its dragons aren’t related, or even want to be. The collective started many, many years ago, when Batutu, a headstrong painter at a loss for cash, came into possession of a decent amount of land on the Millmeadows. Her goal was to set up a farm and make just enough money to fund her and her partner Kalestryx’s hobbies. But, sooner or later, a friend she had made on her travels came knocking. Sorella, another painter she had met many years ago, got kicked out of her previous living situation and needed somewhere to crash for a few days. A few days grew to a week and a half before Batutu finally shoved a sickle and a basket in her face and told her to stop being a freeloader.

Sorella was only the first of Batutu’s friends to move in.
