The Hoarfrost Mages
The Hoarfrost Mages are a coalition of dragons dedicated to exploring different realms of magic. Whether or not the ability to manipulate mana resides within a dragon is unimportant; as long as they are dedicated to studying and investigating magic, they are welcome here.
Se'shii tend to be gentle and introverted, but not completely antisocial. They study the sky, especially the constellations, and particularly talented Se'shii can even predict the future. They're also quite the fashionistas - a dragon is never seen without their beloved attire. They also can be a little snobbish from time to time. Frankly, though, that snooty nature comes from their inherent perfectionism.
Nami are experts in water and ice magic. They were the first to settle here, but they are seen more as the face of the organization rather than "the bosses." Nami are organizers - they prefer order and balance over chaos. They are also quite extroverted and sociable. Rarely will you see a group of Nami not talking with their peers or fellow clan members.
Kua'hi are the newest group, but don't treat them as naïve and unskilled. Those aligned with the Kua'hi study fire and light magic. Though they initially had the hardest time living here in the frigid Dripcave Dregs, they've innovated systems to accommodate their needs and the needs of all the other dragons. Without the Kua'hi, the clan would be nowhere near where it is today.
Zefuchi are the most aloof dragons in the whole clan. They study wind and nature magic, and are seen more often than heard. Skilled Zefuchi can control the weather...and end up throwing a wrench in the Se'shii's predictions when they do. The Se'shii and Zefuchi quarrel quite a bit, but it helps keep the caves lively.
Amaku study inter-draconic relationships and emotions. They're actually not mages; they're more like therapists. Still, the members of the Hoarfrost Mages respect their abilities to read others and handle conflict without the use of magic, so they're allowed to live with the other mages. Members of the Amaku are most often found helping dragons address issues without the use of magic - after all, a good mage knows how to balance the use of their magic.
