Even for those accustomed to the bitter cold that is the Southern Icefield, it can be difficult to navigate the landscape. Currently on a larger iceberg near the center of the Frigid Floes, lies a large encampment. Dens are carved somewhat deep into the ice, majorly for protecting nests and hatchlings as well as smaller dragons more vulnerable to the cold. In the center is a large burning pit, sometimes with wood sometimes biological firestarters depend on the weather. The warmth defrosts many a traveler passing through. Often times tarps are laid out in front with blankets and pillow to further shelter dragons. Surrounding the dens are leather tents, sturdy enough to withstand most winds but temporary enough to be brought down when needed. Some smaller pits and groupings of tents can be found on nearby ice floes. Behind the larger point of the iceberg is a shallower, wide hole. Often times hunters and fishers are spotted bringing fresh meat back and dropping it off there for storage, when done they refreeze the entrance to keep out scavengers. You can see plenty of dragons moving about the camp, some with their own personal gear heading out and others with groups of hatchlings lounging or playing near the center of camp.
