This is an almost kinda sorta Fae/ Veil duo lair, excluding mostly Imps and a few refugees of other breeds. (IC reason: Fae and Veils going to war for control of the territory and "recruiting" e'rybody (whether they like it or not). The Imps are powerful enough to remain neutral. Those that wish to remain neutral during the "War of the Tinies" hang out with the Imps.)

1. This is an exalting lair. But I'm not heartless. If I bought one of your dragons by mistake, I will sell it back to you for the price I paid if they are unleveled. Once I level them, I’ll sell them back for the average exalting payout of their level. Mistakes happen. If the dragon has a shield under its name, that means it's in the coliseum and I am unable to see pm's. Please be patient if this occurs.

2. This lair contains body horror, and lots of it. Multi-gaze, Plague primals, skins & accents, and meat & bone genes are everywhere. View at your own risk.

(TL;DR The 3 main groups of the clan are Fae, Veilspun, and the Protectors. The Fae and the Veilspun are technically at war with each other and the neutral Protectors are patrolling the territory to keep outsiders from coming in and taking over. The patrol efforts are not very effective. Ancients somehow arrive regularly and the hostilities are paused as the others try to figure out why Ancients arrive and what they’re up to in the ancestral land of the Veils. Hostilities with the Hivemind have not increased beyond mutual surveillance in quite some time.)

The 3 factions of Clan Acadie:

1. The Fae:
On April 20, 2020, the Clan of Acadie began. Morgana the Fae, an ambitious young sorceress, left her homeland in search of her own domain to rule. She discovered the seemngly untouched yet treacherous bayous of Acadie. Morgana was soon joined by a young Guardian dragon named Merlin. Morgana instantly recognized his strength, and made Merlin her brother co-monarch*** by convincing him to undergo her breed changing ritual, which erased his memory.

While out scavenging in the Plague lands, Morgana and Merlin found an abandoned egg which contained the young dragon they named Autumnus. A second abandoned egg, this one from the Nature lands, was gifted to the clan during the Greenskeeper Gathering festivals. Morgana and Merlin named her Ariadne. More Fae with shadowy pasts joined the co-monarch butterflies. Moths, autumn leaves, Spanish moss, bats, icicles, and even campfire embers.

More recently, a group of 12 wasp Fae hatchlings, destined for termination, was stolen from a Hivemind hive when they entered the clan's territory. Dubbed the Hivemind 12, the hatchlings are growing well in their new clan. Thanks to their rescue at such a young age and their defects preventing them from proper assimilation, they are slowly starting to develop individual personalities. A thirteenth similar hatchling was later found and joined the other 12. He is regarded with suspicion, correctly.

2. The Veilspun:
A swarm of Veilspun made their presence known to the clan on November 12, 2020. Apparently, they had been living in what the clan thought was their territory the entire time, keeping their presence a secret until they chose not to.

The intentions of the colony are not the least bit clear, and their numbers are rapidly growing at an alarming rate.

3. The Protectors:
A neutral coalition of Imperials and ancient Coatls, along with a small number of other breeds who are staying out of the Fae/ Veilspun conflict, are patrolling the territory to keep outside influence away and protect the land from those who may sense weakness and try to claim the territory for their own.

The core of the Protectors are pure Second Generation Imperials and four ancient (6 & 7 digit) Coatls, who collectively are more than a match for anything short of Luminax or a god.

Dragons of other breeds are either just passing through to join the ranks of the Exalted, or will soon undergo breed changing rituals.

External Enemies:
The clan is currently engaged in a slow-moving standoff with the Hivemind as each side seeks to gather intelligence about the other before acting.

*** Although the word “monarch” usually means a single ruler, the progen butterfly Faes of this lair are the exceptions to the traditional meaning. What else are you going to call butterfly rulers if not monarchs?!?

Personal note, my real life heroine passed away on 10/30/23 at the age of 94. I spent a lot of my time with my grandmother when she was in hospice, and I was the last person she spoke to. Her life celebration and funeral service was on 11/04. She was my last grandparent. I love them all, dearly, but her life was extraordinary.

She worked her way up with only a high school diploma to being a female executive for an international company in the 70’s. She was an intellectual gladiator with Southern charm and a spine of steel fighting for the rights of women and for anti-racism, decades before anti-racism was cool, without raising her voice or using a single cuss word. She was also a down home farm girl that would not eat a cow, chicken, or pig she raised. She worked in ammunition production during WWII; a real life Rosie the Riveter.

The best thing anyone could say about me when I pass is that I lived up to her legacy.
