Born of the selfless leader Lorian and genius innovator Awidat of Clan Lodzhal, Ianturne found his place amidst the Hewn Wanderers as the residential pathfinder of the clan. Some said his coming here was a long time coming, as the ragtag group's de-factor leader had sent her own daughter to the clan from where Ianturne had come. After all, it marked the deepening of bonds between two clans who worked closely with each other in the Flight's organised push efforts.

Even though he was born partially blind, Ianturne was gifted with a strange inexplicable magic that helps him to see the world around him. Dragons appear as auras to him, and though he can easily size up a dragon in a split second, he prefers taking the route of empathy and second chances. Unlike the other more unforgiving dragons of the Hewn Wanderers, Ianturne's gentle spirit is a breath of fresh air amidst a fragmented group.

Recognising his patient heart once she laid eyes on him, Sutera brings him on her routine purification trips around the Hewn City. Ianturne acts as a mediating presence for distraught and lost dragons, and so has become invaluable in reconnaissance efforts. But his strong magic also makes his wings and runes glow a soft blue-green. The energy tanks he carries around are courtesy of the clan's resident researcher, Larathel, daughter of Sutera. She hopes one day she will be able to put this strange magic to good use.

When he's not involved in missions, he's telling stories to the endless amount of hatchlings that pass through the Hewn City. Otherwise, he's busy sneaking up on Candra over at Clan Lodzhal. It's around Candra that he really lowers his guard and relaxes.
