Biography

Firewing earned his name quite early. The first to hatch he was immediately affectionate to his parents. Then his siblings began to hatch and having to compete for his parents attention as well was so very upsetting. With a grumpy little trill he began to snap his still wet wings into the faces of his siblings to gain back his position and attention of his parents. With soft little *twhaps* he continued to flap his wings against his brothers missing them more times than actually connecting until they had all retreated to the other side of the nest with quiet distressed chrips. Feeling satisfied he looked up at his parents in triumph only to see shock on the faces of his mother and father.

Steelcrusher turned to his mate and with a gentle humor he used only with her "He has quite the firey temper there! He must get it from your side of the family." With a gentle bap of her wing Breeze bonked Steel over the head before commenting " Is that so ? Then perhaps he gets his wing techniques from your side. " soft mrrs of laughter escaped her.

Gathering her wings over all her her hatchlings she drew them all close while nudging the bright orange nestling to quiet. " I believe I'll call you Firewing. In honor of your ancestors apparently."
