Stories of Visitors to the Clan
- Windrover eventually found himself swept toward the Beacon of the Radiant Eye where he was greeted by a Light clan. This clan had been watching and waiting and told him that his arrival marked a turning point for their clan. Instead of gazing across the ocean at the Beacon alongside the Lightweaver the clan would move to Lanternlea Port. The clan would then take on an intense study in the archives there to discover a means to restore the Pillar. Windrover joined them there.
The elders already ruled that during this time nothing was to be done except study. There were no hatchlings to raise, no eggs to lay, no newcomers to welcome, and no foes to slay. The younger members of the clan began to grow increasingly bored. Eventually, one by one, the clan fell into hibernation. Before he knew it, Windrover had joined them there... and five years passed.
Windrover awoke suddenly in the dusty forgotten rooms of the archives. He realized that the entire Light clan he had joined was around him, fast asleep. Only a single Fae was awake, and it was she who had woken him. She told him that as her clan began to fall asleep around her, she realized that something was wrong. She quickly abandoned research on the Pillar and instead researched how to wake her clan. After five long years and many failed tests, she had found her answer. Windrover helped the little Fae reawaken her sleeping clan. As the clan discussed whether to continue their research or to return to the Beacon, Windrover slipped away. He had already lost too much time in his journey.
- Since she was so near her original Light home, Skylight decided to go visit. She arrived at the Beacon to discover that the clan had recently moved to Lanternlea Port. After tracking them down there she began to grow extremely tired. Sure that all her traveling had finally caught up with her, she curled up to sleep next to her friends... and woke up five years later. Shocked at this strange turn of events, Skylight said a hasty farewell and left, determined to travel to someplace far away.
- Twizzler's first stop was at a Light lair. When he arrived the clan was embroiled in an argument. Half the clan wanted to stay in Lanternlea Port, while the other wanted to move back to the Beacon. At one point a minor king arrived to give his opinion. Twizzler was fascinated. Did many clans have small kingdoms in their borders? Maybe this was his chance. Surely a king would be interested in a performance, maybe even in a play. Twizzler quickly enlisted the two dragons he had met when he arrived, Glitch and Seraphine who ran the inn. The three of them quickly crafted a play on a subject they knew well. A play about a traveler visiting other clans. Twizzler would play the lead.
When the day of the performance arrived, Twizzler donned his costume when included a pleated ruff. He took to the stage and prepared to say the opening lines, but he froze. The site of all the royal dragons seated in the audience was too much. What if they hated the performance? What if they hated him? What if he forgot his lines? ...what were his lines again?! Instead of speaking, Twizzler immediately contorted into the shape of a pretzel. The crowd laughed and applauded, so Twizzler kept up his contortionist act. Before he knew it, the performance was over. The audience seemed pleased, but Twizzler was not. This was exactly what he was afraid of! He threw off his costume and flew away in shame. He flew so long that he found himself flying among the dragons of a completely different clan...
