Arcane Magic twists and corrupts when it is allowed to run unchecked.
Left to itself, raw magical energy could upset the balance of the world, stirring up ancient monsters and horrors from forgotten ages. Foreseeing this after a cataclysmic event that nearly tore the Star Wood apart, what was once a loosely grouped collection of dragons turned themselves and their layer into a sanctuary for those twisted and changed by rampant elemental magic, and themselves watchers to prevent magical corruption, forming Eternity's Guard.
