Clan Info

I keep some dragons and I'm trying to maintain the existence of descendant of my initial/original dragons.

If you have a breeding project and want to involve a dragon I have, I'm interested!

I have 7-digit dragons!

Currently trying to manage lair space, and trying to limit new dragon acquisitions as of now.

I'm looking less at colors and more on gene rarities. The rarer the better! (Not enough gems yet for gene scrolls, so I'll have to do it the hard way)

Current breeding projects:
1. Making sure my dragons all have descendants
2. Looking for bogsneaks and pearlcatchers with rare genes to mate with my skydancers and spirals

Also, I forgot why I said their favorite numbers have 6.

The cold of the winter is not simply a sad, bleak, lifeless cold. It is a cold that preserves, that insulates, that protects. Generations long gone are preserved in ice, where otherwise they would have been lost to the sands of time. It is true that many creatures cannot survive extreme cold, and yet, there still are creatures that require extreme cold to survive.

Memories, in full color, come to life once the icy surface is scraped away carefully. Bask in the refractions of light as it passes through the ice! For it is no mere lifeless structure, but an element of life itself.

Welcome to this lair!

Here, dragons sometimes pass by and sometimes stay. Many of those who visit are simply in between lairs, and are finding themselves. Others are simply considering the option of serving the Icewarden. Some choose to stay and have a family here. All are welcome!

IRL explanation:
When I started in FR, I was then kinda obsessed with Celtic stuff for some weird reason. Thus, my name (originally "oighear" and the names of some of my dragons. I was also obsessed with Greek mythology, thus the names of my other dragons. Then I decided to add plants into the mix, then other mythological figures, imagined persons, and weather phenomena. I also had dragons from other kind friends, dragons brought in for mating purposes, and then it was such a mishmash of themes that I had to sort them in different lair tabs. Eventually, I've decided to have this as some sort of evolving community. "Old" dragons (they don't really age after adulthood though) will be leaving to serve their deity, and replaced by their descendants. Their memories will still be honored here by their descendants and peers.

I used to buy a lot from the AH supposedly to give mates for my dragons (after all, relatives can't mate), but it seemed I did too much buying and too little breeding, so for now I'm going to lessen my purchases and prioritize the breeding.
I like tracking down my lair's dragon activity. Of course, it's challenging to do so when your old records are buried too deep somewhere, thus having to start from scratch.

~~~circa March to April 2020~~~
UPDATE: The name is AmberFreeze now.
UPDATE: I just realized that most of my dragons here aren't ice dragons. So this is basically a long-term traveller's inn. :3
"Oighear" is Irish for "ice". Which is why I joined the Ice group.
Despite the cold environment, these dragons are NOT the cold-hearted, cold-blooded beings that most expect Ice Dragons to be. These dragons personify, or rather, dragonify the fun aspect of ice, which is manifested often through snow games and ice-skating, among other recreational activities.
Moreover, they also represent the simple, sheer beauty of ice, its formations, and its basic structure. They represent the way that the path of light is distorted through ice to create wonderful visual displays, often in many colors. Thus, my excuse for having some of them deviate from the color scheme.
Their favorite numbers always contain 6, by the way. I leave it up to you to guess why.
I know this may come off as a random comment, but I saw your Morgan on the "random dragon" section on the front page, and I have to say, she's pretty!
