The commander of the forces of Clan Frostbite. A mysterious dragon from an esteemed family. Said to have been born the same year as a great plague swept the lands, Denys is a merciless fighter but compassionate friend. He takes good care of the clan's forces and leads them well. Many of the clan's young idolize Denys, and he is well-liked throughout the clan. He doesn't fully have Hera's trust, as he is not honest about his past, but she still follows his command.

As the commander, he studies strategy and tactics endlessly to make sure there are as few casualties as possible. Whenever he has a moment of rest, he uses it to brush up on his studies. Often times, Denys is found in the library, reading through every book he can find. Nevini and Tamea find his devotion admirable, and the two usually help him. Kaen idolizes his commander, to the point of following Denys around whenever he isn't watching over Svallan. Kaen often tries his best to be sneaky, but the dragon is not known for being subtle. Denys finds dealing with Kaen exasperating.

Despite being so popular in the clan, the dragons of Frostbite want to know more about Denys, Seris and Osia especially, as the leaders of the clan. The most they know about Denys is that he comes from a noble family and that the year he was born in, a great plague befell Sornieth. He doesn't speak much on his past, and mostly keeps to himself. The only other dragon he opens up to is his mate, Terrene. The pair are rarely seen together due to Denys' position, but they show deep care for one another. The best strategist.
