Welcome to Wolf's Clan!
There's an interesting story about why I got the nickname Wolf. I was this scrawny little 9 year old girl at her first day of resident girl scout camp. (That meant I was away from home for 2 weeks and I was sleeping in a platform tent with 6 other scrawny little girls.) There were 6 girls but only 5 names - one of my tent mates and I shared the same first name. My older sister worked at this camp and her camp name was "Fox" (for her foxy eyes). So it was decided that my camp name should be wolf (not because I had wolf eyes) but merely because both foxes and wolves lived in the woods and my sister's name was Fox.
I have learned a great deal about wolves since I was 9 and I'm happy and proud to be associated with such a ferocious and protective animal. When not being demonized (Little Red Riding Hood, 3 Little Pigs & Peter and the Wolf, etc.) many other stories portray wolves as loyal, strong, clever and courageous animals. Not quite as attractive as having "foxy eyes" but being associated with a loyal, strong, clever and courageous animal certainly has its own panache.
