Deep within the Tangled Wood lives a clan who lives for magic. They focus on the mastery of the different elements and study them with deep fascination and wonder. Led by a pure Shadow Coatl named Alipheese, they live peacefully and believe in coexistence between all races. However, this doesn't mean they don't have enemies and won't fight back with all their strength when challenged. Dragons of Clan Hellgondo possess both brains and brawn, key essentials in times of crisis, though of course they try to avoid fighting all together. What really sets this clan apart from most however is the need to procreate for profit. Very rarely will they allow in a dragon who cannot provide for the clan in the terms of producing profitable offspring. Some dragons who are already mated must still breed with their "perfect match" in the clan each end of their cooldown. Despite this, they don't mind visitors, and easily welcome those to borrow a nest or two for the same purpose from other clans. Though they are a mostly Shadow-built clan and worship the great Shadowbinder, they easily welcome in dragons of other flights so long as they meet the clan's basic standards. Secluded in the Foxfire Bramble, they are slowly moving up to better territory as the population in their clan grows.

Dragons in Clan Hellgondo are usually wearing apparel that symbolizes their natural ranking or power within the clan; emblems are given to master of elements, while sashes are given to those who possess a strong power or relation to that element, even if it doesn't exactly match their element. Mages within the clan often train young prodigies, however their main role to assist dragons heading outside of Clan Hellgondo territory. They often lend their companions their strength during battles against hostile dragons and monsters, as even though their kind believe in coexistence, this is not the same everywhere else. It is because of this that they are just as highly regarded as the four main subordinates of Alipheese,and are not to be taken lightly in their word.
